🆕 New data from the ADA Health Policy Institute's Q2 2026 State of the U.S. Dental Economy Report reveals headwinds and tailwinds for practices (link in the comments).

The tailwinds:
🟢 50.2% of dentists feel good about where the sector's headed
🟢 Practices are busier too, with fewer saying they're short on patients

The headwinds:
🔴 Reimbursement grew 19% — but inflation grew 27%
🔴 Equipment and supply costs are up 23%

Translation: patient volume is holding steady or growing, but margins are getting squeezed from both ends.

Here are a couple of ways practices are protecting their margin:

1️⃣ Automating payment workflows keeps cash flow moving by speeding up both patient collections and payer reimbursement.
2️⃣ Surcharging protects margin by offsetting payment processing costs.
