That third baby just hits different.

Not because they’re your third. Because by the time they arrive, you’ve finally learned what matters.

They slow down time. They quiet the constant need to do more, achieve more, and get everything “right.” They gently unravel the perfectionism you’ve carried for years.

This baby didn’t just make me a mom again.

He reminded me that life isn’t something to race through. It’s something to be present for. For the first time, I’m not rushing to the next stage. I’m not wishing for more sleep or counting down to the next milestone.

I’m letting myself stay here.

Because I know these late night feeds, sleepy snuggles, tiny fingers wrapped around mine, and slow mornings won’t last forever.

Maybe that’s the unexpected gift of a third baby. They don’t just grow your family. Sometimes, they heal the parts of you that forgot how to simply be.

Has motherhood ever changed you in a way you didn’t expect?

So how do I support the mental health of millions online, but not have to post or engage all day? Asking for a friend.

Success doesn’t have to come at the expense of your peace.

For so long, we’ve been taught that the harder we push, the more successful we’ll become. But as a psychotherapist, I’ve learned that sustainable high performance isn’t built on anxiety, perfectionism, or constant hustle. It’s built on emotional resilience, healthy boundaries, and a nervous system that doesn’t believe your worth depends on your productivity.

I’m honored to be featured in The Female CEO, where I share my journey, the psychology behind burnout, and why I believe ambitious women deserve both success and well-being.

Perfectionism creates a loop: thought → anxiety → avoidance → more self-doubt.
The longer you wait for perfection, the stronger the pattern becomes.

Catch the thought. Challenge it. Act anyway.

What's one thing you've been putting off because it doesn't feel "ready"?

So much of what feels like burnout in high-achieving women is actually identity collapse. When the business is your worth, every bad week feels like a personal failure. Every slow month feels like proof of something deeper. Every dip in revenue, every unanswered DM, every launch that underperforms, somehow becomes a referendum on your worth as a human.

This is the deeper layer of perfectionism most ambitious women never address. We treat the surface symptoms, the overworking, the over-editing, the inability to rest, while the core belief underneath stays untouched. My work defines my worth.

The shift is learning to hold your work as a reflection of your effort and your strategy in this season. Nothing more. The launches will move. The numbers will fluctuate. Your worth as a person does not.

A journal prompt I give every new client: if my business disappeared tomorrow, what would still make me valuable?

Sit with that one. It changes how you run everything else.

Procrastination is the most misunderstood symptom of perfectionism.

If the work isn't getting done, the problem usually isn't discipline. When the stakes feel huge in your head, your brain quietly decides that avoiding the task feels safer than doing it imperfectly. That's a protection pattern, and stricter schedules won't move it.

What actually moves it is targeted CBT work. These five tools are the ones I use most with my high-achieving clients, including the one I credit with getting most of my own work shipped on time.

Take what fits. Put one into practice this week.
