Athletes: not all physical therapy is the same.

Your PT shouldn’t just help you feel better—it should prepare you to perform better.

Your rehab should look like your sport.
Your strength should match the demands of your game.
And your return to sport should build confidence—not just check a box.

At Living Well, we bridge the gap between rehab and performance so you’re ready for the field, court, course, track, or wherever you love to compete.

Don’t just rehab to get back. Train to come back better.

My low back was not loving life this morning. 😅

And honestly? I knew exactly why.

The past few weeks have been full. My stress has been high, my sleep and recovery haven’t been great, my morning mobility routine became less consistent, and I wasn’t fueling my body as well as I normally do.

Sound familiar?

This is your reminder that your body doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

Your back pain, stiffness, recovery, and ability to tolerate movement aren’t just influenced by *what exercise you did* or *what stretch you forgot to do.*

Sleep matters. Stress matters. Nutrition matters. Movement matters. Recovery matters.

So this morning, I didn’t try to force my back to “loosen up” or jump straight into a hard workout.

I started by calming my nervous system, finding positions that felt good, gradually introducing movement, and then—most importantly—adding a little load back in.

Because the goal isn’t to have a body that never gets tight, sore, or irritated.

The goal is to build a body that can handle life...and bounce back when life gets a little chaotic.

Your body is capable of more than you think—give it the tools it needs to recover, adapt, and bounce back stronger.

👉 Save this for the next time your back feels tight or irritated.

Feel Better. Move Better. Live Well.

Strong bodies. Full lives. ❤️

Sometimes “training” looks like getting a few miles in before the rest of the day begins. Sometimes it looks like riding bikes with your kids, chasing adventures, and building memories together.

At Living Well, we believe movement isn’t just about performance—it’s about having the strength, confidence, and capacity to live well.

Because the goal isn’t simply to move better today.
It’s to keep moving, playing, exploring, and enjoying life for years to come. 🚲✨

Feel Better. Live Better. Live Well.

Your MRI report says “Degenerative changes.” “Disc bulge.” “Herniation.” “Spondylosis.”

And suddenly, Google has convinced you your spine is falling apart. 😅

Take a breath.

Your MRI is a piece of information—not a prediction of your future.

Many of the findings we see on spinal imaging are - common, age-related changes- that can also be found in people who have little to no pain. A “disc bulge” doesn’t automatically mean it’s the source of your symptoms. And “degeneration” doesn’t mean you’re broken.

At Living Well, we want to know more than what your MRI looks like.

We want to know:

→ How do you move?
→ What makes your symptoms better or worse?
→ What can you do now?
→ What can’t you do yet?
→ Is your strength and function improving?
→ What do you want to get back to doing?

The goal isn’t to make your MRI look perfect.

The goal is to help YOU feel better, move better, build confidence in your body, and get back to the things you love.

And yes—there are situations where imaging is important. That’s why your symptoms, history, physical exam, and the full clinical picture matter.

You are not your MRI.

If you’ve been told you have a “bad back” because of something on an imaging report, let’s put it into context.

Back-to-school season is busy enough. Your athlete’s PT shouldn’t just be another appointment on the calendar.

At Living Well PT & Performance, we take a proactive approach to performance and injury prevention—helping athletes build strength, mobility, control, and resilience they need to handle the demands of their sport.

We can’t promise to magically prevent every injury. But we CAN give athletes the tools to reduce their risk, stay in the game, and perform at their best.

Because the goal isn’t just to get through the season.

It’s to thrive in it. 💪

🎯 Start this school season at your best.

Think physical therapy for back pain means lying on a table while someone stretches you and massages your back?

We think you deserve more than that.

At Living Well, our approach to back pain is about more than making you feel better today.

It’s about figuring out WHY your back is struggling in the first place — and then building your capacity so you can get back to doing what matters to you.

That might look like:

→ Understanding your unique pain pattern
→ Using hands-on treatment and targeted modalities when they’re appropriate
→ Building strength and load tolerance
→ Retraining the movements your life actually demands
→ Creating a sustainable plan you can continue long after your pain improves

Because feeling better is the first step — not the finish line.

Good PT shouldn’t be a guessing game. And it shouldn’t leave you dependent on treatment forever.

The goal is confidence. Capacity. And getting back to your life.

If back pain is keeping you from running, lifting, golfing, working out, playing with your kids, or simply moving the way you want to…

Let’s change that.
