✨ HAD SURGERY? YOUR BODY MAY NEED LYMPHATIC SUPPORT. ✨
Whether it’s plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, abdominal surgery, joint replacement, or another procedure, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) may be a valuable part of your recovery. 💗
🌿 Helps encourage healthy lymph flow
🌿 Helps manage post-surgical swelling & fluid buildup
🌿 Can ease feelings of tightness and discomfort
🌿 Supports your body’s natural healing process
🌿 Promotes greater comfort as you recover
I’ve personally seen powerful results in practice — for example, a client recovering from hip surgery was experiencing significant discomfort where scar tissue was contributing to nerve pain. By combining scar tissue work, gentle stretching, and MLD, he experienced a 50% reduction in pain by the second treatment. This is a great example of how layered, gentle techniques can support recovery.
MLD is gentle, specialized bodywork — not deep tissue massage. Scar tissue work is deeper and is needed for post op as it can wrap around nerves and cause an increase in pain. I also teach the scar tissue work for homework and stretches to improve outcomes in between sessions.
💗 Give your healing body the gentle support it deserves.
Always follow your surgeon’s instructions and get medical clearance before beginning MLD.
Most people can receive MLD soon after and should receive scar work 6-8weeks after. Tree Laz
