🌟 Meet Our Team: Heather 🌟
Heather has nearly 20 years of experience in the field. When she’s not working, she’s at home with her 6 kids spending time doing lots of fun science experiments, arts & crafts, and baking.
• What do you want families to know when they’re considering placing a loved one in your care?
“I want families to know that I am deeply passionate about this work and fully committed to the well-being of every individual in my care. I have a profound understanding of complex mental/behavioral needs, and I pride myself on maintaining a calm, focused presence during high-intensity moments. Where others might see an intimidating situation, I see an opportunity to provide stability and compassion. Your loved one is safe with me and my team.”
• If the houses you manage had a motto, what would it be?
“Progress over perfection. My focus is on the small, meaningful wins that happen every day.
Whether it's a resident successfully navigating a difficult emotion, a day that stays calm when it usually wouldn't, or simply a day where we all learned something new, that is progress.”
• If you could have any superpower to use on the job, what would it be?
“Emotional Telepathy, the ability to "read the silence" in a room and feel exactly what a resident needs when they can't find the words. In high-intensity care, the most important communication often happens without a single sound, so being able to instantly tap into the root of someone's struggle would be the ultimate gift. Since I don’t have that literal power, I rely on the intuition and bonds I have developed over the almost 20 years in this field.”
