Grab the stroller. Bring the bump (your belly). Come exactly as you are. 🤎

This is something really simple.

No production. No expectations. Just a walk.

The Baby & Bump Walk is a free community walk for pregnant and postpartum moms to get outside, move their bodies, have a conversation, and maybe even meet a future best friend.

That’s actually how I met mine. 🤎

Ten years ago, she and I started walking together after dropping our kids off at school—at the very same place we’ll be meeting for this walk. Those walks turned into a friendship, and 10 years later, we’re still great friends.

There's nothing you need to buy.
Nothing you need to join.
And nothing expected of you when you get there.

You aren't coming as a customer or an audience. You're coming as a mom who deserves community, too. We know some pretty rad moms too.

Bring your own coffee if you want one. Bring the stroller. Bring the baby. Come pregnant. Come alone. Come knowing absolutely nobody.

We're not trying to make this complicated.

Sometimes community can simply be:

“Hey, I'm a mom too. Want to walk?”

So register and mark your calendar.

It’s never too early to hire your doula. But it can definitely be too late. 🤍

Please don’t wait until the month you’re due to start looking for your dream doula.

Doulas take a limited number of births each month, and availability can fill months in advance—especially when you’re looking for someone who feels like the right fit for your personality, your birth goals, your location, and the kind of support you want.

I encourage families to start interviewing doulas around 20 weeks—or sooner if you’re ready.

And for some families, early support can be especially valuable.

If you’re becoming a single parent by choice, growing your family through IVF or other assisted reproductive methods, working with a surrogate/gestational carrier, or simply navigating a pregnancy that took a long road to get here, you don't have to wait until the third trimester to build your support team.

Hiring your doula early gives you time to actually use your doula.

To ask questions.
Prepare for appointments.
Learn about birth options.
Talk through fears and expectations.
Prepare your partner or support person.
Build your birth preferences.
And most importantly, build a relationship with the person who will eventually walk into that birth room with you.

Your doula isn't just for the day you give birth.

So yes—you can hire us at 12 weeks.
You can hire us at 16 weeks.
You can hire us at 20 weeks.

And if you're 38 weeks, absolutely call us and we'll check availability. 😂

But if you already know you want a doula, don't wait to find the one you want. This also goes for postpartum support.

You are not just hiring a doulas experience. You’re hiring the person who will be by your side when things get hard. Ask them how they will support you when they are overwhelmed, tired, confused or when birth plans change. Yes experience matters! The right doula should be someone you trust in the room. Here at Birth to Latch we work collaboratively and support one another. Even the new doulas have access to doula support when they need it. Ask me about our next Meet the Doula night if you are considering hiring a doula! If you are a new doula looking for community, reach out, I’d love to meet you. birthdoula

🤍 Parenthood is easier when you have people beside you.

The early months of parenting can feel overwhelming, exciting, exhausting, and sometimes a little lonely. That's exactly why we created our monthly parent groups.

Whether you're welcoming your first baby, growing your family, or chasing an active little one, you'll find a group designed for your stage of parenthood.

✨ September enrollment is now open for:

🤍 Mommy Connection: First Baby
For first-time parents and babies from birth to crawling.

🤍 Mommy Connection: Next Baby
For families welcoming their second, third, or fourth baby.

🤍 Walkers & Talkers
A guided parent-and-child group for active crawlers through 24 months with songs, movement, play, and connection.

🚶‍♀️ Baby & Bump Walk
Join us this month as we get outside, connect with other families, and enjoy a morning walk together. Invite a pregnant friend to come join the community.

✨ One registration. Four weeks of connection.

Our parent groups are monthly enrollments, not drop-in classes. Register once and enjoy four weeks with the same families, creating meaningful friendships, support, and community along the way.

We'd love to welcome you into our village this September.

Enrollment is now open at BirthToLatch.com.

A New Chapter for Our Parent Groups 🤍

For many years, our Mommy Connection group welcomed everyone together. It was a beautiful space where friendships formed, babies grew, and families found support.

But over time, we noticed something.

First-time parents needed a place to ask questions about feeding, sleep, milestones, recovery, and all the emotions that come with welcoming a first baby.

Parents welcoming another baby were looking for something different. They wanted conversations about balancing multiple children, navigating sibling relationships, and feeling seen in this new chapter of family life.

And our active crawlers and walkers? They were ready to move, explore, sing, learn, and play, while our youngest babies—and their parents—often needed a quieter, more relaxed environment.

Each stage deserved something uniquely designed for them.

So we made a change.

We’re excited to introduce three weekly parent groups:

🤍 Mommy Connection: First Baby
For first-time parents and babies from birth to crawling.

🤍 Mommy Connection: Next Baby
For families welcoming their second, third, or fourth baby.

🤍 Walkers & Talkers
A guided parent-and-child class for active crawlers through 24 months.

While we hope to one day grow into a larger space, this felt like the right next step to better serve our community.

Our groups have always been, and will continue to be, for families. Partners are always welcome, and we’ve even had grandparents join as primary caregivers. Everyone deserves a place to belong.

I’ve called Whittier home for more than 46 years. Birth to Latch isn’t just my business—it’s my way of giving back to the community that raised my own family. My hope has always been to create a place where parents feel supported, connected, and reminded they don’t have to do this alone.
I can’t wait to welcome you to this next chapter.

✨ September registration is now open! If you’re expecting in August or September, we encourage you to register early so you can reserve your spot and begin building your community before your baby arrives.
