Dr. Aleksa Martin is a surgical podiatrist with United Regional Physician Group.

Dr. Martin earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX before attending Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, where she graduated among the top 10 students in her class. She completed her surgical podiatry residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, where she served as chief resident and gained extensive experience treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.

Healthcare has been part of Dr. Martin's life from an early age. Inspired by her parents, both nurses, she developed a deep appreciation for the impact compassionate care can have on patients and their families. During her training, she discovered a passion for podiatry through hands-on experience caring for patients with foot and ankle conditions and assisting with surgical procedures. She was drawn to the specialty's unique combination of surgery, problem-solving, and long-term patient relationships. Returning to Wichita Falls is especially meaningful because it allows her to care for the community where she grew up and the people who helped shape her journey.

Dr. Martin takes a patient-centered approach to care, working closely with her patients to understand their goals and develop a treatment plan tailored to their needs. Known for being empathetic and thorough, she values open communication and believes the best care begins with listening. Whether treating a routine foot condition or a complex surgical issue, her goal is to help patients improve their comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Outside of work, Dr. Martin enjoys attending live music events, traveling, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Allen, have a son and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Dr. Martin is excited to build lasting relationships with patients throughout Wichita Falls and serve the community she is proud to call home.

For Mike Campbell, Clay County judge, knee pain had started to take a toll on the things that mattered most. Everyday tasks on his family farm, which has been in operation for over 100 years, were becoming increasingly difficult. Determined to get back to the life he loved, Mike turned to United Regional for care.

"I realized that the surgery had worked when I was able to get out of the pickup and walk across the street and not limp," Mike said. "The thing I appreciate more than anything about the whole experience is the confidence of the United Regional team. They show confidence because they know what they're doing."

After knee arthroscopy at United Regional, followed by physical therapy at Clay County Memorial Hospital, Mike returned to the activities he enjoys most.

United Regional partnered with KFDX today until 1 p.m. to provide the Free Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic, helping make preventive healthcare more accessible for our community.

This event gives individuals and families a convenient opportunity to receive their flu vaccine, supporting a healthier community and helping protect against seasonal illness.

We are grateful to KFDX and everyone who participated in making the clinic a success. Thank you for joining us as we continue working to improve the health and well-being of the people we serve.

United Regional is proud to help lead the Wichita Falls Mental Health Coalition. Our subcommittee was instrumental in planning the Mental Health Symposium, taking place October 9, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the WFISD Career Education Center, 500 E. Hatton Rd. This event, free and open to anyone who wants to attend, will bring together providers from behavioral health and community sectors to strengthen collaboration and create more connected, responsive mental health solutions across our region.
