Today, we want to take a moment to recognize three members of our team who have reached significant work anniversaries in May. Their commitment to our clients and the field of behavior analysis makes a difference every single day. ✨️

• ​Charli, Director – 15 Years: A decade and a half of leadership, mentorship, and vision. Charli has been a cornerstone of our clinic, and though she prefers to stay behind the scenes (and away from the camera lens!), her impact is seen in everything we do.

• ​Esmeralda (Esme), RBT – 5 Years: Five years of dedication to our clinic and to our clients. Esme brings so much experience and heart to her sessions, and we are so proud of the professional she has become!

• ​Spencer, Senior RBT – 2 Years: Happy 2nd anniversary! In just two years, Spencer has become an integral part of our team, consistently showing up with energy and a commitment to our clients' growth.

This Memorial Day weekend, the Onward team participated in a "Flat Stanley" Rubber Ducky challenge! We wanted to see how many Natural Environments our rubber friends could visit.

​Our ducks stayed busy:
• ​Socializing at Birthday parties, Golfing, Playing pool, Karaoke Quest, Board games, Card Games, KBBQ and the arcade. 🕹️
• ​Generalizing their skills at Buc-ee's, the bowling alley, the pool, the beach, the movies, the airport, various restaurants, fixing cars and museums. 🏊‍♂️
• ​Practicing Patience while Helping with Chores, Baking, Crocheting and Interacting with adorable pets! 🐶🐢

Today we celebrate a huge milestone one of our clients achieved! 🌟
We are so incredibly proud of our client, their dedicated Onward team, and those at WSC for their hard work in teaching real life skills while completing community IMPACT work.
Seeing everyone in action—working together to help our client learn and apply new skills, while watching them make progress—reminds us that growth has no limits.
Watching the transition from learning skills in a clinic to applying them in the community is what it’s all about!

We had such an amazing week! ✨️
Here is the finale to our Autism Awareness Month spirit week.

Self-Advocacy Wednesday: Self-advocacy means understanding and being able to communicate what you need and how you feel. When we respect when individuals say “Stop”, “No”, “I need a break”, or even non-verbal signals like pushing something away or turning the other way, we are honoring their autonomy. 💙

Regulation Thursday: Self stimulatory behaviors or “stimming” are repetitive movements or sounds that are used as a way to process and regulate emotions or energy. This could include jumping, spinning, humming, singing, hair twirling, nail biting, clapping, or even screaming. 😌

Flourishing Friday: Every brain develops at their own pace. Just like flowers in a garden, no two minds bloom in the same way, or on the same schedule. Everyday we get to watch many young minds as they develop and flourish. 🌱
