A special thank you to one of our thoughtful employees for thinking of our ladies during activities. The residents enjoyed an afternoon of listening to their favorite oldies while creating beautiful bracelets together. 🎶💎

Activities like these encourage creativity, fine motor skills, socialization, and reminiscing through music. Most importantly, they bring smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories to our day.

A big thank you to Lyndie with Alpha Omega Hospice for stopping by and sharing valuable educational information about the services their hospice and home health team provides. We appreciate the opportunity to learn more about the compassionate care and support they offer to patients and families in our community.

The education was made even better with some delicious pulled pork sandwiches loaded with all the fixings!

🦁🐘 Welcome to the Safari Skills Fair at Swan Health! 🦒🐾

Today, our team embarked on an exciting safari adventure through learning and skill-building! Staff traveled through different stations across Swan Health, brushing up on essential topics including nursing skills, back safety, fire drills and disaster preparedness, hand hygiene, trach care, and so much more.

Learning was made even more fun with safari-themed animals, great teamwork, and plenty of laughter along the way. To top off the day, everyone enjoyed delicious grilled hotdogs while connecting with coworkers and strengthening the skills that help us provide exceptional care to our residents every day.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our Safari Skills Fair a roaring success! Together, we continue to grow, learn, and ensure the highest quality of care for those we serve. 🐾🌿🌞

🦓🩹 Safari Skills Fair 2026 – Wound Care Adventure! 🩹🦓

Our Safari Skills Fair continued with an informative stop led by Dynamic Wound Care! Their team provided valuable education to our nursing department on the early identification of wounds, prevention strategies, and the importance of accurate documentation.

Staff reviewed proper wound treatments, including appropriate dressings, ointments, and creams, while also learning about specialty mattresses and off-loading devices that help prevent skin breakdown and promote healing.

Knowledge is one of the best tools in wound prevention, and we appreciate Dynamic Wound Care for sharing their expertise and helping our team strengthen their skills. Together, we are committed to providing the highest quality care and protecting the health and comfort of our residents.

🦒🐘 We Are Wild for Skills Fair Safari 2026! 🐘🦒

Our Safari 2026 adventure continued with an exciting and educational stop at the PT/OT station! Staff learned the importance of back safety, proper body mechanics, and safe lifting techniques to help protect both themselves and our residents.

A lifting challenge tested everyone's knowledge and skills, showing just how important it is to use our knees—not our backs—when moving and assisting residents.

A special thank you to Jasmine for providing valuable education on resident positioning and safe transfer techniques. Her hands-on training helped our nursing team better understand how to safely assist residents while promoting comfort, dignity, and independence.

We appreciate our PT/OT team for making learning engaging, interactive, and fun. Together, we're building a stronger, safer team—one skill at a time! 🦁🌿🐾

🌟 May Employee Shout-Out: Makayla Williams, CNA 🌟

This month, we are proud to recognize Makayla Williams, CNA for the outstanding care, compassion, and dedication she brings to our residents every day.

Makayla consistently demonstrates all the qualities that make an exceptional CNA. She provides compassionate, resident-centered care, maintains a positive attitude, works well with her teammates, and always goes above and beyond to ensure our residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Her strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to help wherever needed do not go unnoticed.

During our recent State Survey, a surveyor personally praised Makayla for the exceptional care and professionalism she displayed. Receiving recognition from a State Surveyor is a true testament to the high standards she upholds and the pride she takes in her work.
