We loved this repeat family birth!!! 💙 Mom was so patient as little one made her work hard, and she was so, so strong doing it. When little brother was born, she was in shock at her own power! We recognized her strength all along though 😉 The relief, joy, and love in the room was tangible as mom held baby and dad held mom. We know big brother was so excited to meet him too. Congrats to this wonderful family!!!! 🩵🩵

Sweet Silas rounded out our BIRTHday extravaganza 🎉 This third time 💙boy💙 mom decided she wanted an out of hospital experience and rocked it! She was determined to meet her newest boy and honestly made it look easy. We love a good doula dad! From the beginning he kept the vibes high and FRIENDS episodes on deck (100% approve this contraction distraction technique 🙌🏻). What an amazing final BIRTHday party 🎉 Maybe we can do it again one day 😉

Now for our 3rd baby boy of August 19!
We LOVE our repeat families so much! They rolled in just before 5pm and baby joined us at 6:28pm. Momma may be tiny but she sure is mighty! Lots of encouragement and a whole lot of strength later she finally got to meet her newest baby boy. He is their tie breaker baby and the boys officially out number the girls 😅💙 Welcome to the world buddy! We loved being a part of your BIRTH day 🎉

Our second baby boy of the day, sweet Josiah 💙 And first repeat family of the day 🫶🏻

This fierce momma listened to her body well and instinctively moved around the room. She expertly balanced using the warm water in the tub and movement for pain relief. And had a little pancake distraction 😋

When the unmistakable urge to push came on, she got back in the tub to bring their second baby boy into the world. There’s nothing else like laying your eyes on your baby for the first time. 😍 You can see the joy written on her face! We too wish you could have all your sweet babies with us (military life 😩). Birth vacations… 🤔😆

The morning of August 19th was the beginning of the births of four beautiful healthy, happy little boys!🚚🦕🚜

Mom and dad arrived early after laboring at home for a while. She labored comfortably in the tub for a while, then decided to change it up and get out and move around which pushed labor forward. Dad held her lovingly in arms as they swayed together in harmony. A supportive partner makes such a positive impact!♥️
Baby Teddy Mac was soon born and spent sweet time bonding with his mom and dad. 👶🏻💙 He’s just the cutest little nugget!

After resting up for a bit, they were excited to return home where Teddy Mac met his siblings!
Congratulations to this sweet family!🎉🎉🎉

It was so special being a part of your big day and witnessing the healing it brought to your mom and dad. A beautiful redemptive water birth indeed. As soon as dad lifted her out of the water, the room filled with happy tears and praise 🥹 Mom absolutely rocked her first natural birth! Let this be your sign to not completely write off nitrous 🙌🏻 Big brother was so excited to meet his baby sister and wanted to hold her immediately! We see many “my baby” filled days ahead 💕

Meeting Daaaay!! Friday we had we had the whole fam in house! At more than 100 births per year, we treat our fair share of emergencies~ Here are some of the things we do to work as a well-oiled machine

📋*Debrief after births to improve our processes and change any policies that will help us run safely & smoothly
👯‍♀️*Put the whole team together every 3 months to chat, go over changes, and run an emergency scenario in real time
🚑*Host a community wide drill twice yearly to evaluate processes between the birth center, EMS, and United Regional

Birth isnt always perfect- but this team works hard to reduce birth trauma by staying fast, calm, and efficient... even when things don't go exactly as planned :-)
