Showing Up for Our Community Matters. 💙

Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls was proud to be present and support the Clay County Health Fair!

Events like this are an important reminder that healthcare is about more than treatment. It is also about education, connection, prevention, resources, and making sure people know where to turn when they need support.

We were grateful for the opportunity to connect with community members, share information about hospice care, answer questions, and stand alongside other organizations committed to improving the health and well-being of our area.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit with us, and thank you to the organizers and community partners who helped make the event possible.

Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls is proud to serve, support, and stay connected to the communities around us.

Mental Health Matters. 💚

Sometimes the people who seem the strongest are carrying more than anyone realizes.

Mental health struggles don't always have a visible sign. They may look like exhaustion, withdrawal, anxiety, grief, irritability, difficulty concentrating, or simply trying to make it through another day.

At Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls, we understand that caring for people means caring for the whole person — emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically.

We also know that illness, caregiving, grief, and loss can place an incredible emotional weight on patients and families.

So today, we want to offer a simple reminder: Check on the people you love. Listen without judgment. Be patient with what you may not fully understand.

And if you are struggling, please reach out. Talk with someone you trust, contact your healthcare provider or a mental health professional, or call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Asking for support is not weakness. Sometimes it is the first step toward getting the help you need.

You do not have to carry everything alone. 💚

October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎀

For so many families, breast cancer is more than a diagnosis. It's a name, a face, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a coworker, or someone deeply loved.

This month, we pause to honor those who have fought, celebrate those who survived, remember those whose lives were lost, and stand beside those who are still walking through the journey.

At Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls, we understand that serious illness touches more than the patient. It touches the people who love them, care for them, pray for them, sit beside them, and walk with them through every difficult day.

So this October, we wear pink with love and purpose.

To every survivor, every fighter, every caregiver, and every family affected by breast cancer — we see you, we honor you, and we stand with you.

And as we raise awareness, let this also be a gentle reminder to care for yourself. Know your body, keep up with recommended screenings, and talk with your healthcare provider about when breast cancer screening is right for you.

Sometimes, taking care of yourself begins with simply making the appointment. 🎀

You are not walking this journey alone.

We Walk Because Memories Matter. 💜

At Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls, we are proud to stand with our community in support of the Alzheimer’s Walk.

Alzheimer’s affects more than the individual living with the disease. It touches families, caregivers, friends, and entire communities. That's why showing up matters.

For us, this is more than participation in an event. It reflects our commitment to compassion, dignity, education, and supporting families through every stage of the journey.

To everyone walking, volunteering, caregiving, advocating, and remembering—Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls stands with you.

Together, we walk with hope, love, and purpose. 💜

October Is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

Domestic violence can affect people of every age, background, and circumstance. It may involve physical violence, emotional abuse, intimidation, manipulation, control, financial abuse, or threats.

For many people, the hardest part is simply feeling safe enough to speak.

At Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls, we believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

This month, we stand with survivors, families, advocates, and organizations working to bring awareness, safety, support, and hope to those affected by domestic violence.

If someone you know is struggling, listen without judgment. Believe them. Encourage them to seek help from a trusted professional or community resource.

If you are experiencing abuse or feel unsafe, your safety comes first. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. When it is safe to do so, reach out to someone you trust or contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or text START to 88788.

Awareness can open the door to help. Compassion can help someone feel less alone.

This October, we wear purple and stand together. 💜

Fall! 🍂

There is something about this season that reminds us to slow down, appreciate the people around us, and find gratitude in the simple moments.

As the weather changes and the days begin to feel a little different, fall gives us an opportunity to reconnect, check in on those we love, and make time for what matters most.

At Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls, we are grateful for the patients, families, caregivers, community partners, and friends who allow us to be part of their journey.

This season, may your days be filled with comfort, connection, gratitude, and a little extra warmth.

Happy Fall from all of us at Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls! 🍁

Thank You for Helping Us Care for Our Community. ❤️🥫

The Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls Food Drive wouldn't have been possible without the generosity and support of our community.

To everyone who donated food, shared our posts, encouraged others to give, or helped us spread the word—thank you.

At Hospice Plus of Wichita Falls, we believe caring for people extends beyond healthcare. It means showing up, giving back, and serving wherever there is a need.

Thank you for partnering with us and helping us turn generosity into impact.
