I am so fed up of people blaming the survivor of assault. Using the argument that somebody consented to using drugs and alcohol does not give someone else permission to take advantage of them. For years, females under anesthesia were given pelvic exams without their consent or knowledge. Are we also punishing the patient for having non-consensual medical procedures done while they are not aware of it? No! The HHS in 2024 decided that this was unethical! Because every single person, regarding the condition of their physical or mental state, does not ever deserve to be taken advantage of.
