Objectives:
▪️Identify the DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria for PTSD and describe how intergenerational trauma exposure can inform symptom presentation and case formulation
▪️Describe the biological and attachment-based mechanisms of trauma transmission across generations, and relate these mechanisms to DSM-5-TR symptom clusters
▪️Apply differential diagnosis considerations when intergenerational trauma presents alongside or complicates diagnoses such as PTSD, Other Specified Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorder, and anxiety or depressive disorders
▪️Select and apply at least one standardized DSM-5-TR-aligned assessment tool and one evidence-informed treatment approach
