"Ascension Living HOPE is a community-based program whose purpose is to serve the residents of Sedgwick County, KS age 55 and up with a healthcare model including senior home care, adult daycare and specialized geriatric medical care. PACE is a coordinated health and social services program that enables participants to remain in their own homes and communities. It is a unique system of managed car

e which includes services in the home, at the PACE center, and if necessary, in the hospital or other medical facility. PACE serves the most frail older adults with top quality healthcare and helps people age with dignity at home.

Ascension Living HOPE team members were in Washington, D.C., for the National PACE Association Spring Policy Forum to advocate for Kansas seniors and our amazing PACE programs on Capitol Hill. CMS Administrator Dr. Oz presented the keynote speech at the forum. Under Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is working with NPA and PACE providers to allow PACE to extend eligibility and affordability to more seniors and make enrollment quicker and simpler. We were honored to spend time with teams from Senator Jerry Moran and Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. to share stories about our participants and how we provide care and support through HOPE in Kansas. We are very grateful for their strong support over the years and look forward to working together to help PACE expand to serve even more folks!
