Before the semester ends, don’t let your leftover Shocker Dollars go to waste, turn them into support for a fellow Shocker.

By donating your remaining Shocker Dollars at the Ground House, you can help students experiencing food insecurity through the Swipe Out Hunger program sponsored by CARE Team & Chartwells Catering at WSU. Every dollar donated helps provide meals, support, and hope to students who may be struggling silently.

You can also donate Shocker Dollars to the Shocker Support Locker to help stock shelves for the summer months and ensure students continue to have access to basic needs support when they need it most.

Small acts of kindness create a stronger Shocker community. Together, we can take care of each other.

Shockers, the Student Health Center will continue to be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the summer. If you were enrolled in the spring semester, you can still make an appointment until the first day of fall classes (even without being enrolled for summer courses)!

Today, the WSU CARE Team joined Sedgwick County’s Crisis Intervention Community Resource Fair to strengthen collaboration across systems committed to crisis response and student well-being.

This is what proactive, community-centered support looks like—aligned resources, shared responsibility, and a commitment to meeting individuals where they are.
