Celebrating 3 Years of Student Outreach & Support! 💛🖤
Over the past three years, we’ve been committed to helping students overcome challenges, connect with resources, and thrive at Wichita State.
This academic year, we proudly:
💛Received 1,247 referrals resulting in 900 student supported with individual case management
💛Hosted 10 wellness programs and events, reaching 490 students
💛Expanded community partnerships with organizations that help address unique student barriers
Thank you to our students, campus partners, and community organizations for making this work possible. Together, we’re creating a more supportive and connected campus.
We look forward to seeing what Year 4 brings and continuing to make a difference-one student at a time.

Hey Shockers!💛 Are you majoring in social work, psychology, or a related field? Our office is hiring a STUDENT INTAKE SPECIALIST for the upcoming academic year, where you’ll help schedule appointments, support outreach, coordinate programming, and gain hands-on experience in a case‑management environment. Submit your resume on Shocker Central by July 17 to apply and kick‑start your applied learning journey.

This week, the Division of Student Affairs hosted a Fun Day for staff filled with games, laughter, and meaningful connections. It was a wonderful way to celebrate an amazing year and recognize the hard work our divisional staff put in day after day. We wrapped up the event with superlative awards and Divisional Excellence Awards — and our team walked away with every member being recognized.

Katie Davidson- The Golden Plunger: for going above and beyond the call of duty, especially when things get messy.

Courtney Lockhart- Most Likely to be Campus Famous: for being recognized by students, staff, faculty, parents, and visitors wherever they go.

Michelle Geesaman- The Sweetest Connection: most likely to have candy, snacks, or treats available exactly when you need them.

Jared Gulledge- The Dumpster Fire Disposal: for cleaning up messes, solving problems, and preventing small issues from becoming major fires.
