No shade to emergency rooms and quick care centers, but why overwhelm them when you could see an optometrist about an eye injury!

Of course, for certain injuries, you would need to see an MD. Generally anything INSIDE the eye has to be seen by an opthalmologist. But if you got chemical in your eye, eye irritation, or think you may have scratched your cornea or got something in your eye, give us a call! We can help guide you on what needs to happen next. On this day in 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, over 2 years after it was established. Juneteenth was officially signed into law as a public federal holiday only 5 years ago.

So today, celebrate equality, acknowledge the pain of others, and look forward to a better future. In the words of Opal Lee, the "Grandmother of Juneteenth", "We have simply got to make people aware that none of us are free until we're all free, and we aren't there yet."
