Brandi Brace, CPM and Christy Gimben, CPM practice Traditional Midwifery & are committed to helping you achieve a God-honoring birth, offering home births, water births, VBAC'S, and more. We are passionate about providing gentle, personal, and evidence-based midwifery care and home birth services. Kathy is a 5th generation midwife and Brandi is following suit. Both of us feel honored by the friend

🌸 Welcome, to the world Lilliam Mae 🌸

Sometimes birth unfolds differently than we imagined. What began as one kind of journey became another, with unexpected turns that led this mama to the hospital for a cesarean birth.

While this birth story looked different than hoped for, the outcome we prayed for is here — a safe mama and a healthy baby. 💖

One of the beautiful things about midwifery care is that support does not end when plans change. Whether birth happens at home, in a birth suite, or in a hospital room, we continue walking alongside our families through every step, every decision, and every emotion that comes with the journey. 🌿

We are so grateful this sweet baby arrived safely earthside and are holding this family in so much love as they begin this new chapter together. ✨

✨ April brought the babies ✨

After a quiet March with no births, April came back strong with FOUR beautiful little arrivals — 1 sweet boy and 3 precious girls. 💙💗💗💗

Cypress trees are known for their unique structure, particularly the "knees," which are woody projections that rise above the water's surface in swampy areas. These knees help stabilize the tree and provide it with essential oxygen in flooded environments. Just like the unique cypress knees that help these trees stand strong in flooded waters, a woman can draw on God’s strength during childbirth. 🌊✨

These knees symbolize stability and support—reminding us of the importance of our environment and the people around us. 🌿

Embrace your body's natural ability, lean on your support system, and find your grounding. You’ve got this! 💖

You've heard about the first, second, and third trimesters of pregnancy—but what about the FOURTH? The 12 weeks after birth are just as critical for both you and your baby, yet they're often overlooked.

The fourth trimester can be HARD. You might experience:
Postpartum bleeding and cramping
Breastfeeding challenges
Sleep deprivation like you've never known
Hormone shifts that affect your mood
Identity shifts as you adjust to being a mama
Relationship changes with your partner
And that's all NORMAL. You're not failing—you're adjusting.

Remember: You just grew and birthed a human. Give yourself the same grace, patience, and care you're giving your baby. The fourth trimester is about survival and bonding—not perfection. 🤱
You're doing an amazing job, mama. One day at a time. 💕
