If your baby is crying, gassy, or struggling to settle and nothing seems to be helping, it can feel overwhelming trying to figure out what’s actually going on.
Many parents are told it’s just gas or reflux and that it will pass with time. But in some cases, there are underlying patterns in how a baby’s digestive system is functioning that can keep those symptoms going.
When parents learn what to look for and how to support those patterns step by step, they often start noticing changes like:
• calmer feedings
• less discomfort
• more settled sleep
We walk parents through this process inside the Colic Doc Course at StoppingColic.com/course.

Many parents think a pacifier is simply a comfort tool, but did you know it may also help some babies digest more comfortably after a feeding?

The act of sucking can help babies relax, encourage bowel movement, and assist in moving gas through the intestines. That's why some babies seem to settle down and drift off to sleep when offered a pacifier after a full feeding.

If your baby becomes fussy, grunts, squirms, or seems uncomfortable after eating, it doesn't always mean they're still hungry. Sometimes their digestive system is simply hard at work.
If your baby refuses a pacifier and frequently shows signs of tummy discomfort, there may be an underlying digestive issue causing pain. Visit StoppingColic.com to learn more about how The Colic Doc’s Technique can help your baby with gas, bloating, spit up and more.

Many babies become fussy, grunt, or squirm after eating, not because they're still hungry, but because their digestive system is hard at work. The soothing motion of sucking can help some babies settle, relax, and even drift off to sleep.
When babies suck, it can help activate their body's natural "rest and digest" response. This may help them relax, encourage bowel movement, move gas through the intestines, and make digestion more comfortable.
If your baby refuses the pacifier, they may still be hungry, or they may be too uncomfortable to accept it. 👇
If your baby rejects a pacifier and frequently shows signs of tummy discomfort, they may be struggling with digestive issues caused by a weak ileocecal valve.
Dr. Scharenberg helps babies with these symptoms every day using his gentle technique that requires no spinal manipulation. For families who can't travel to his office, he also offers an online course.

The Colic Doc treats babies daily because his approach to infant tummy pain focuses on strengthening the valve between the small and large intestines, called the ileocecal valve.
This little valve is a muscle. Just like other muscles in the body, consistent treatment helps strengthen its function, allowing many babies to experience relief more quickly.

No spinal manipulation. No medication. Just a gentle technique designed specifically for infants.🤍

Dr. Scharenberg treats babies daily in his Wichita, Kansas office. For parents who are unable to travel, he has also developed an online course that teaches his gentle technique for baby gas and tummy pain.

A Fact Many Parents Don’t Know About the Colic Doc…

Long before most people are awake, Dr. Scharenberg is already seeing babies.
Many mornings begin before sunrise, and it's not unusual for him to continue treating babies until after dark. Over the years, he has even come into the office on weekends to help families whose babies were struggling with severe colic symptoms.
Why?
Because he knows what sleepless nights, endless crying, and watching your baby suffer can do to a family.
If you've ever visited his office, you've probably noticed something else. The walls are covered with thank-you cards, family photos, handmade gifts, and messages from grateful parents.
Each one tells a story.
A baby who finally slept.
A family who finally got relief.
A mom who no longer had to listen to her baby cry in pain.
For more than 30 years, helping babies has never been just a job for Dr. Scharenberg. It's been his life's work. 🤍

They Told Her It Was Just Colic..
When Jordan's baby Barrett started screaming in pain, she knew something wasn't right.
Barrett cried for hours, appeared uncomfortable all day, held his breath while crying, and seemed to be in significant pain. Like many parents searching for answers, Jordan took him to his pediatrician and was told it was colic and that she would simply need to ride out the crying.
But Jordan couldn't accept watching her baby suffer for weeks or months with no real answers.
After being referred to Dr. Scharenberg by her lactation consultant, Jordan decided to give The Colic Doc a try.
Dr. Scharenberg was able to get Barrett in for a same-day appointment.
According to Jordan, she noticed a difference during Barrett's very first treatment.
His tummy, which had been hard and bloated, began to soften. The crying, kicking, grunting, and squirming that had become part of their daily routine started to settle.
By the end of that first appointment, Dr. Scharenberg was even able to gently hold Barrett upside down while he remained peacefully asleep.
After completing his treatment plan, Jordan describes Barrett as a happy, content baby who now only cries when he's hungry.
If you think your baby may have colic, or if your baby seems unusually fussy, uncomfortable, gassy, bloated, or in pain, there is help.
Dr. Scharenberg treats babies in his office in Wichita, Kansas every day. For families who cannot travel, he also offers a self-guided online course that teaches parents how to support their babies at home.

This baby arrived uncomfortable, gassy, and crying in pain. Watch what happened during treatment.
The Colic Doc believes many colic symptoms may be related to digestive discomfort involving the ileocecal valve, a small valve between the small and large intestine. He has developed a gentle technique that focuses on supporting this valve.
When this valve is strengthened, parents often tell us their baby's symptoms of gas, bloating, and discomfort improve. They frequently report that their babies become calmer, happier, sleep better, and seem more comfortable overall.
If your baby is struggling with:
• A hard or distended belly
• Pulling their legs to their chest
• Excessive crying or screaming
• Sleeping only short periods of time
• Refusing to sleep on their back
• Appearing most uncomfortable when lying flat
• Waking from sleep crying inconsolably
• Scratching their face or pulling their hair
• Refusing feeds for long periods of time
• Spitting up frequently
• Turning red and closing their eyes tightly while crying
• Constipation
Your baby may be experiencing significant digestive discomfort and may need help.
Dr. Scharenberg treats babies in his office in Wichita, Kansas every day. For families who are unable to travel, he also offers a self-guided online course that teaches parents how to support their babies at home.
