As we head into Labor Day weekend, we hope you and your family have a safe, relaxing holiday filled with time together and a little extra rest.

Our Wichita Dignity Memorial locations will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day, but we’ll be here throughout the rest of September to help you plan ahead with confidence and peace of mind.

During the month of September, families can receive 10% off Funeral and Cemetery plans, and anyone who schedules an appointment will also receive a complimentary Personal Planning Guide.

Sometimes the best gift we can give the people we love is simply making our wishes known ahead of time.

Giving back is part of who we are at Dignity Memorial Wichita Kansas.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Wichita holds a special place in the hearts of many of us because of the compassionate care and support it provides to families throughout our community.

This month, the team from Lakeview Funeral Home & Lakeview Cemetery had the privilege of volunteering at the House. Together, they prepared sloppy joes, potato salad and cookies for dessert for the families staying there.

Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families with children receiving medical care in Wichita. By offering a comfortable place to stay, meals and compassionate support, the House allows families to remain close to their children and focus on what matters most: their care, healing and time together.

It was an honor for the Lakeview Funeral Home team to serve an organization that does so much for children and families when they need support the most.

Dignity Memorial Wichita Kansas had the honor of being a part of Empowered Senior at the amazingly beautiful Botanica Wichita.

This monthly educational series is unlike any other in Wichita. Each program provides valuable knowledge you may not have known you needed and introduces topics you may have never considered before.

What a wonderful program we had in July! Our speakers were Matt Murray of GreenAcres Market, Katherine Ambrose of Aging Untold and Senior Home Coach, and Dr. Rae Rogers of Aging Untold and Medical Innovative Solutions. Each shared an incredible amount of helpful and valuable information.

A special thank-you to Jill D Miller for her continued focus on our community. She and her team consistently bring together meaningful and educational events. We are also grateful to Katherine Ambrose for her vision and dedication to creating programs that successfully provide valuable information to people in communities across the country.

The Wichita Pride Parade & Festival is coming up Saturday, June 27th, and Dignity Memorial Wichita would love to see you there!

Watch for us during the parade, then stop by our table inside Century II after the parade. We’ll have fun items to toss along the route, including beach balls and ice pops, plus some amazing items inside along with the best basket giveaway too!

This is a day to celebrate community, connection, kindness, and showing up for one another.
