Roughly 14 women EVERY SINGLE DAY are experiencing postpartum psychosis (based on the rounding of the stats below). Each and EVERY INDIVIDUAL is worth the attention and care that is needed…Let’s Keep Talking!
Stats mentioned above: According to the CDC-An average of 9,880 babies are born daily in the United States-about one birth every 8.7 seconds! And 1 to 2 cases per 1,000 live births experience postpartum psychosis.

Attended the Wichita World Breastfeeding Celebration event with my daughter ❤️ we had a full afternoon of connecting! We just had to meet Bluey for my youngest daughter!!!
We met amazing families and wonderful fellow workers for the cause!
And had 3 winners for our giveaway drawing for Sensational Baby 4-week Infant Massage course!!! Formal announcements in another post ! And then dinner after - just the 2 of us!

a day late, but never forgotten. We are still celebrating Father's Day in the Collins' home!

I am feeling beyond grateful to co-parent with a man who says and shows his happy place is with his children. 🤍 It is not about perfection, it is about presence.

Maternal mental health month…
Did you know that maternal su***de remains the leading cause of maternal mortality? The CDC reports that up to 20% of perinatal postpartum maternal deaths are due to su***de. Please support the mamas in your life, some are suffering in silence. And, of course, consider referring them to me for extra support! I’m here for it.

“Maternal su***de is the leading cause of death in the year after birth, yet it’s still rarely discussed.”

Intrusive thoughts in postnatal anxiety and OCD can feel frightening and overwhelming, especially when misunderstood.

In her new book She Seems Fine To Me, out today, Kimberley Nixon explores how these thoughts can leave new mums feeling isolated and unsure of themselves.
