Months after concussion...
Still dizzy. Still foggy. Still feeling “off.”
The strange part?
Their scans were clear.
The concussion itself had largely healed.
But their neck hadn’t.
What many people don’t realise is that almost every concussion involves a rapid acceleration/deceleration injury to the neck as well — almost like a whiplash mechanism.
And your neck does far more than just hold your head up.
Tiny receptors in the muscles and joints of the upper neck constantly tell your brain where your head is in space. Your brain then combines that information with:
•• your eyes your balance system (inner ear)
and your body awareness system (proprioception)
When all 3 systems agree → you feel stable and grounded.
But after trauma, the neck can start sending distorted information to the brain.
Now the eyes say one thing.
The inner ear says another.
And the neck says something different again.
That sensory mismatch can be fixed: after one treatment we reset the systems and she is functioning normally, the good news? The neck and the balance system are trainable! And that’s what we did! chiropractic

Some people say X-rays are unnecessary. Others say they’re essential.
So... who’s right?
Here’s the truth most people don’t hear:
Research shows that improving your neck curve can: Reduce pain & disability. Improve nerve function. Support long-term results
But not everyone with a “straight neck” has pain, and some studies show pain can improve without changing structure.
The reality?
Short-term relief doesn’t always equal long-term success Restoring alignment may reduce stress on your discs, joints, and nerves over time Measuring your progress objectively helps ensure you stay better, not just feel better
Bottom line: Before & after X-rays aren’t about vanity-they’re about
tracking meaningful change when your goal is durable results.

1. Pain doesn’t always mean damage.
Your brain decides when something is a threat-and uses pain as a warning. Even when there is just potential for damage.
2. Tight muscles are often a response-not the root cause They’re protecting something your brain doesn’t trust.
3.Rigid posture isn’t healthy posture, even if it’s in the most ideal position.
4. The nervous system controls and coordinates everything—including how you feel about yourself and those around you.
The sensory systems determines what your nervous system can “see”.
The spine plays a big role in this.
5. You can have significant changes on scans... and no pain at all
And the opposite is also true.
6. Dizziness isn’t always an “ear problem”.
Your neck plays a major role in how your brain understands where you are in space.
7. Your brain relies on 3 systems for balance
Eyes, inner ear, and proprioception (your body awareness).
If one is off-things feel “wrong”.
8. Your body adapts and learns from what you expose it to.
Posture, movement, stress-your system is always learning, these patterns become your new default.
9. The right amount of stress over time builds resilience.
What you do every day matters more than what you do occasionally.
10. Symptoms are signals—not the problem itself.
They’re your body’s way of asking for change, not something to just silence. See you soon 🩷 TMJ babies kids chiropractickids colic earinfections cupping massage caraccident carwreak insurance pip dryneedling graston BestofWichita
