Safety Excellence in Action! 👏
At PK Technical & Inspection, safety is more than a policy, it is a commitment demonstrated every day by our employees in the field.
We are proud to recognize Rolando Gonzalez, Chris Henderson, and Gustavo Guillen for their outstanding use of Stop Work Authority while performing work activities.
During insulation removal activities, the team identified conditions that raised concerns about the potential presence of asbestos-containing material. Rather than relying solely on previous assessments, they remained alert, questioned the conditions they observed, and made the decision to stop work and escalate their concerns.
Their attention to detail and commitment to doing the right thing led to additional review, sampling, and laboratory testing before work resumed. While the material was ultimately confirmed to be non-asbestos containing, the true success story is their willingness to recognize uncertainty, speak up, and place safety above schedule.
