We want to hear your honest perspective:

If you could add ONE thing for young people in our community this summer, what would it be?

An activity? A space? An event? Something completely new?

There are no wrong answers—just real ideas from the people who experience it every day.

Summer is right around the corner.

So, we want to know: What are you most looking forward to this summer?

Whether it’s sports, time with friends, being outside, working, traveling, or just having a break—summer means something different for everyone.

And at the heart of SYNC is one simple idea: connection doesn’t stop when school ends.

Let’s check in today:
What’s one thing that helped you feel connected this week?

It could be something small—school, friends, family, sports, a moment, or even just a conversation.

Connection looks different for everyone, but it matters in every part of our lives.
SYNC continues to focus on building stronger connection and belonging for youth in our community—and your voice helps guide that work.

Today’s SYNC listening session gave us a chance to hear directly from students in our community.

While we’re still reviewing all of the feedback, a few early themes are already showing up:
• Feeling unheard or misunderstood
• School, sports, and life pressure/stress
• Wanting more places and opportunities to connect
• The importance of feeling supported by adults and peers

What we’re hearing is honest, real, and important—and it’s helping guide how SYNC continues to move forward.

We’ll continue sharing more as we reflect on everything that was shared.
Thank you to the students who took time to be part of the conversation today. Your voice matters in this work.

Today we’re spending time directly with students through a SYNC listening session—hearing honest thoughts, ideas, and experiences about what it’s like being a young person in our community right now.

Earlier this week, we also met with the SYNC coalition and CHAT team to review a first look at the most recent youth input and feedback. That conversation is already helping guide how we think about next steps.

This is what SYNC is built on.

Not assumptions. No guesses. Real voices, real experiences, and real direction from youth themselves.

Youth input matters here. A lot.

So we’ll ask again today:

What’s something adults don’t always understand about being a young person today?

What does feeling connected look like to YOU?

Connection can mean a lot of different things—friends, family, school, community, or just feeling like you belong somewhere.

We’re curious:
👉 When do YOU feel most connected?
👉 What helps you feel that way?

Drop one word that describes connection for you

SYNC matters because youth grow best in strong, supportive communities.

Every connection, conversation, and act of encouragement helps shape confidence, resilience, and healthy decision-making.

When families, schools, and communities work together, young people feel seen, supported, and valued.

That’s how we build a stronger future—together.

Youth are not just the future—they are part of our community right now.

They are navigating school, friendships, pressures, and a constantly changing world. And they are doing it while still learning who they are. That’s why supporting youth matters.

At SYNC, we focus on creating spaces where young people feel:
• Safe to express themselves
• Supported by trusted adults
• Encouraged to make healthy choices
• Empowered to build their future

When we invest in youth today, we strengthen the entire community for tomorrow.
