🍦 What’s the Scoop?! 🍦

Wild Rose youth are invited to share their ideas, connect with others, and help shape the future of their community!

Following this spring’s **SYNC Survey**, where Wild Rose middle and high school students shared their thoughts on mental health, technology, relationships, and growing up in the community, organizers are taking the next step with **What’s the Scoop?**

This fun afternoon will give students the opportunity to:
🍦 Enjoy a free ice cream treat
💬 Share ideas through casual conversation
🙋 Help shape future youth activities and community initiatives
💵 Receive a participation incentive

Attendees will hear highlights from the survey, discuss what youth are experiencing, and share ideas about how to make Wild Rose an even better place for young people.

Sometimes the most important work starts with a simple conversation.

It was great spending part of Wild Rose Days connecting with neighbors, families, and friends while sharing more about SYNC.

This work isn't about one event or one organization—it's about our entire community coming together to create stronger connections and more opportunities for youth and families.

If you're curious about SYNC or looking for a way to get involved, I'd love to chat. Follow along as we continue growing this work throughout Wild Rose. Every conversation helps move us forward.

If you’re looking for something fun to do today, come spend the day in Wild Rose! The festivities kick off with the Wild Rose Days Parade at 11:00 AM, followed by an afternoon full of activities at Roberts Park—including kids’ games, bounce houses, a petting farm, live music, food, basketball and co****le tournaments, and more. (Check out the flyer below for the full schedule!)

💦 Don’t forget the fan-favorite Water Fight at the end of the parade! As the fire trucks make their way through, local businesses line the “Wet Zone” with buckets of water and sq**rt guns for an unforgettable splash-filled finale. Be prepared to get soaked—or cheer everyone on from the dry side! 🚒💧

👋 I’ll be walking in the parade with ThedaCare and representing SYNC (Supporting Youth, Nurturing Connection). If you see me, say hello! I’ll be handing out information about our upcoming youth events, including “WHAT'S THE SCOOP? -- Youth Conversation & Listening Event- our free ice cream and conversation event for middle and high school students on Tuesday, August 11.
