We really enjoyed our night at the 2026 Pork & Cork, benefitting the Blount Memorial Foundation. This organization does so much to help those in crisis with their medical needs. We are proud to partner with them. Pictured, Foundation executive director, Amy Dunaway and our CEO, Brent L. Dotson.

We were sorry to hear of the sale of McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home to Carriage Services, a large funeral home chain based out of Texas. We salute the McCammon, Ammons, and Click families for their many years of service to the community, but grieve that local ownership is now gone. All of the largest funeral homes and cemeteries in Blount county are now under foreign or corporate control.

Dotson Funeral Home & Cremation is proud to still be family owned and operated, serving our community for 47 years. If you have existing arrangements with another funeral home, we accept all pre-need transfers. We are proud to be local and intend to stay that way. Grateful to serve our community. 🙏
