Some days at work remind you that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Today, a woman came in seeking admission for a family member. As I walked her through the process, she paused and asked me, “Do you believe in God?”
I smiled and nodded.
She looked at me and said, “God put me in your path. You are a blessing.”
It’s not the first time someone has said something like that to me, but today… it hit differently.
Working in long-term care isn’t always easy. There are hard conversations, emotional days, and moments that test your heart. But every once in a while, you get sent a reminder that what we do matters.
I don’t share this to seek praise. I share it because sometimes we all need a reminder that kindness, compassion, and simply showing up for others can make a difference in ways we may never fully understand.
Today, my heart is full, and I’m incredibly grateful to be able to serve others.
