Congratulations to our May Employee of the Month, Makala! 🎉

Makala is truly one of a kind. Residents request her specifically for their hall because of the compassion, kindness, and care she shows every single day. Our staff loves working alongside her because she is always willing to jump in and help wherever needed.

Even on her days off, Makala goes above and beyond — volunteering her time to assist residents on outings, including trips to Amish Country filled with laughter, memories, and smiles. ❤️

No matter the situation, when help is needed, Makala is known for dropping everything to come in and cover shifts to make sure our residents are cared for. Her dedication does not go unnoticed, and the love our residents have for her says it all.

Nothing beats a day in Amish Country filled with fresh air, furry friends, and smiling faces! 🐐🐴🐓

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing filled with petting animals, laughter, sightseeing, and making sweet memories together. These moments of joy, connection, and adventure are what life is all about. ❤️

Seeing our residents laugh, share stories, and enjoy the simple things reminds us how important these experiences are. Thank you to our staff and families who help make these special outings possible!

Celebrating Nursing Home Week with the people who make our community feel like home ❤️

Today was filled with good food, laughter, smiles, and time spent together at our cookout. We are so grateful for our amazing residents, dedicated staff, and supportive families who came together to make memories and enjoy each other’s company.

Moments like these remind us that nursing homes are more than care facilities — they are communities built on compassion, connection, and joy. Thank you to everyone who helped make today special! ☀️🍔🌭🎶

Happy Mother’s Day🫶🏻

Our residents enjoyed celebrating their mom’s, their journey as a mom, and each other! Tea, coffee, cookies,cupcakes, laughter, friendship, and love made this event special. The flower crowns were the cherry on top!

Thursday, we had the opportunity to step into the shoes of those we care for by participating in a Geriatric Suit Simulation Project.

Wearing weighted vests, ankle weights, braces, a neck collar, and vision-altering glasses, we experienced firsthand the physical challenges many older adults face every single day. Simple tasks quickly became difficult, reminding us how strength, mobility, and vision impact independence.

This experience gave us a deeper understanding, greater patience, and even more compassion for the residents we serve. It’s one thing to learn about aging—but it’s another to truly feel it.

We are grateful for opportunities like this that help us grow, improve our care, and continue to provide the dignity, empathy, and support our residents deserve. ❤️
