Every resident has a story worth preserving.

This month's theme "A Night at the Museum", will have our communities become living museums where memories, traditions, and life experiences take center stage. Through treasured keepsakes, family stories, music, photographs, and meaningful conversations, we'll celebrate the incredible journeys that have shaped each resident's unique legacy.

As we celebrate our Charter Wide Fun Day, National Museum Day on September 26, we invite everyone to become both a storyteller and a curator of the moments that matter most. We encourage families to join us by sharing photographs, treasured mementos, and meaningful stories that help bring each resident's personal museum to life.

Together, we'll discover that the greatest exhibits aren't found behind glass. They're found in the people who call Charter home.

✨⭐ What a STAR-studded way to end the week! ⭐✨

We wrapped up our week with a magical evening Under the Stars! 🌟 The room was beautifully transformed with stars of all shapes and sizes, creating a fun and festive atmosphere for our residents and their families.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious spread of food, sweet desserts, and refreshing drinks. 🍽️🍰🥤 The fantastic live band kept the celebration going with wonderful music that had everyone smiling and enjoying the evening! 🎶💃🕺

Most importantly, our residents, families, and friends spent quality time together making special memories. ❤️ To top off the evening, everyone left with hearts full of joy and a special take-home s’mores treat! 🔥🍫🤍

Today we visited the Waltrip Williamsburg Executive Airport! ✈️ Our residents enjoyed seeing the small planes and learning more about the airport. We then headed to Charly’s Restaurant for a delicious lunch and wonderful time together. It was a fun day filled with new experiences, good food, and great company! ❤️

🎉 Congratulations to Daryne on being recognized during Charter Senior Living’s company-wide recognition call as the Region 1 honoree! 🎉

Daryne joined our Williamsburg team in 2023 as a caregiver and has continued to grow within Charter, becoming a Registered Medication Aide in 2025 and now serving as the Lead Med Tech in our Flourish Memory Care neighborhood.

Daryne is caring, dependable, and incredibly hardworking. She truly embraces the Flourish Memory Care philosophy and leads by example, always going above and beyond to ensure our residents are cared for with compassion, patience, and dignity.

Her passion for helping others has inspired her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. Outside of Charter, she is a military spouse and proud mom of three daughters.

We are incredibly proud to have Daryne represent Region 1 and Charter Senior Living of Williamsburg. Congratulations on this well-deserved company-wide recognition! 💙⚓

📻 Celebrating National Radio Day! 🎙️

To celebrate National Radio Day, we took our residents on a special visit to the Williamsburg radio station! We were warmly welcomed by the newscaster, who gave us an inside look at how the radio station works.

The residents even got the chance to record their own bumpers and liners that may be aired on the station! What a fun and exciting experience to be part of the world of radio. 📻🎶

🐴 A Wonderful Day at Dream Catchers! 🐴

Today, we visited the Dream Catchers horseback riding center in Toano! The wonderful staff introduced us to several different breeds of horses and shared how these beautiful animals are specially trained for various forms of equine therapy.

Our residents had a wonderful time meeting, petting, and spending time with the horses. It was a peaceful and memorable experience for everyone! ❤️🐎

🎰 Charter Casino Fun! 🎰

We had a fantastic time at Charter Casino! Residents enjoyed playing blackjack with Kelly from ACG Hospice, who brought lots of fun and excitement to the afternoon. 🃏✨

There were great prizes, plenty of delicious treats, and lots of smiles and laughter! Our residents had such a wonderful time enjoying the games and spending time together. ❤️
