Join us in Room 101B at AIDS 2026!

Monique Carry, PhD, Sibanda Nkosie, and Linda Joseph will lead an interactive workshop on moving U=U from viral suppression to meaningful action—and implementing it at scale through health systems, training, communication, and community practice.

Attendees can expect to:

🔹 Connect systems and human implementation by examining how U=U must be embedded in policies, programmes, clinical workflows, workforce training, and routine communication—while also building understanding, trust, confidence, and action.

🔹 Practice clear, trusted communication through an interactive viral-load demonstration designed to make U=U science accessible, relatable, and adaptable for different audiences.

🔹 Develop practical strategies for action in a small-group lab focused on overcoming implementation and trust barriers, strengthening provider practice and community engagement, and identifying a measurable next step for your setting.

📅 Thursday, July 30, 2026
⏰ 10:00–11:30 AM
📍 Room 101B

Still don’t know what U=U means? It changes everything.

Undetectable = Untransmittable.

The science is clear: a person living with HIV who takes treatment as prescribed and maintains an undetectable viral load has almost zero risk of transmitting HIV sexually. WHO recognizes U=U as established scientific evidence.

So, what should you do?

1️⃣ Get tested for HIV. Knowing your status is the first step.
2️⃣ If the result is positive, start treatment as soon as possible. WHO recommends treatment for everyone living with HIV, regardless of CD4 count.
3️⃣ Keep taking treatment and check your viral load. Reaching and maintaining an undetectable viral load protects your health—and means HIV cannot be transmitted sexually.

U=U means better health.
U=U means freedom from fear.
U=U means love without stigma.

Get tested. Start treatment. Stay undetectable. Spread the facts, not the stigma.
