This , we’re celebrating our long-term care pharmacy technician, Jasmine! 🎉💐

It’s definitely birthday season at The Prescription Shoppe, so of course we had to celebrate her birthday, but this one is a little bittersweet. After three years with our TPS Pharmily, Jasmine is preparing to step into an exciting new opportunity and the next chapter of her career.

We are so incredibly proud of her and excited for what this opportunity means for both Jasmine and her family. Thankfully, this isn’t quite goodbye, but more of a “see you later,” as we’re hoping she’ll still pop in for a shift here and there when we need her. 😊💚

Jasmine, thank you for the past three years and for all you’ve contributed to our team. More than anything, we appreciate the attitude you’ve brought with you every day, even when the circumstances weren’t always the best. You’ve always found a way to bring the laughs, crack a joke, lighten the mood, and lift the morale of everyone around you. That kind of energy is special, and so are you. 💚

We’re going to miss having you with us every day, but we’re so excited for what’s ahead and will always be cheering you on!

Part of staying well is planning ahead, so here’s an early heads-up from your TPS Pharmily! 💊

The Prescription Shoppe will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day and will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

As we head into the holiday weekend, take a moment to check your medications and plan ahead for any prescription refills, compounded medications, pill packs, or other pharmacy needs you may have. Don’t wait until the last minute! 😊

Joshua, we are so incredibly proud of everything you’re growing into and, even more importantly, everything you already are. From your rambunctious spirit to the confidence you exude, you have always been unapologetically YOU in every situation.

The newest COVID-19 vaccines have officially received FDA approval, and we know many of you are already wondering when they’ll be available. As soon as our initial shipments arrive at The Prescription Shoppe, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on availability and when you can begin stopping by.

In the meantime, flu shots are already here! 💉 Flu vaccines are available on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No appointment needed.

As we head into our busiest season of the year, we’re adding a little something new behind the counter at TPS: weekly Bible verses and words of encouragement for our team. 💚🙏🏽

Pharmacy can get BUSY, especially during vaccine season, and in the middle of caring for everyone else, we want to be intentional about pouring into the people who make it all happen.

A little inspiration. A little encouragement. And a weekly reminder to stay grounded in our faith, give ourselves grace, and keep pushing forward together.

This week’s reminder: “Rest from burden.” Sometimes rest isn’t about having less to do, but remembering where to place the weight. 🙏🏽

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is mentoring the next generation of pharmacists. Natalie is wrapping up her rotation with us, and it has been a pleasure showing her the ropes at The Prescription Shoppe and giving her a firsthand look at independent community pharmacy in action.

She has been doing a great job, and we’re so glad she’s had a positive experience so far. We’re looking forward to making the rest of her rotation just as meaningful.

We recently welcomed Srinika to The Prescription Shoppe after meeting her at the recent VCU School of Pharmacy camp where we had the opportunity to present. She reached out afterward wanting to spend a little more time with us and get a firsthand look at independent community pharmacy.

As a rising high school senior with her sights set on pharmacy school, it was refreshing to see her excitement, curiosity, and genuine interest in the profession.

We’re thankful for every opportunity to open our doors, share what we’ve learned, and hopefully leave the next generation a little more inspired than we found them. The future of pharmacy is bright! 🌟

We’ve been in a bit of a birthday season at TPS, and this week it was Rachael’s turn to feel the love! 🎂💚

There’s a lot that goes into wellness, but we think joy deserves a spot on the list too. A good laugh, a thoughtful surprise, feeling loved by the people you spend your days with…those things matter.

So in between filling prescriptions and taking care of our community, we’ve been enjoying a few extra reasons to smile around here lately. 😊
