🎉 WellSpring is growing!! And we’d love for YOU to grow with us!

We’re so excited to announce that our SECOND WellSpring Pregnancy + Family Resource Center location is opening in downtown Logan at 116 Stratton Street!

As we prepare to serve even more families, we’re building our volunteer teams at BOTH our Williamson and Logan locations. 💙💜

And here’s the best part: you don’t need a wide-open schedule to make a difference.

Have 1 hour to give? Amazing.
Have 5 hours? We can use you.
Want to serve 15–20 hours and really get involved? There’s a place for you, too!

We’re looking for volunteers to help with:

• 📦 Donations & collection drives
• 🤝 Case management & family support
• 💛 Parenting education & peer mentoring
• 📱 Social media
• 🧹 Janitorial & maintenance

Last year, WellSpring served more than 130 families. Now, with two locations, we’re dreaming even bigger. Our goal is to look back at next year’s annual review and see that number DOUBLED.

But serving twice as many families takes more people willing to say, “I can help.”

You don’t have to do everything. Just bring what you have — your time, your talents, and a heart for families. We’ll help you find your place.

The West Virginia Department of Human Services (DoHS), Bureau for Family Assistance will begin accepting school clothing allowance applications on Monday, July 20, 2026, for eligible children enrolled in West Virginia schools. All families must apply and may do so online at www.wvpath.wv.gov or by requesting a paper application be mailed to them by contacting their local DOHS office or by calling 1-877-716-1212. Applications will be accepted until August 15, 2026, or until the available funds are fully allocated, whichever occurs first. To be eligible for approval, applications must reach the local office before the program closes.

The program’s opening had been on hold amid uncertainty over the state’s federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding. Governor Patrick Morrisey announced that West Virginia has ensured that the funding needed to open the program for families this year will be available.

“We are doing this the right way, and we’re working to make funding streams last. COVID-era reliance on one-time money helped create these challenges, so now we are working to put this program on solid footing. Starting July 20, West Virginia families can apply for the School Clothing Allowance,” said Governor Patrick Morrisey.

Each eligible child will receive a $200 benefit that may be used toward the purchase of appropriate school clothing or piece goods for families who sew clothing for their children.

The monthly income for a family of four for the school clothing program may not exceed $3,483. Verification of income for July 2026 must be submitted with the application.

Income Limits for the School Clothing Allowance Program for 2026: (see below)

School clothing allowance program recipients will receive payments on their electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card. This allows for both online transactions and an increased choice of vendors when purchasing school clothing or piece goods. The EBT card will operate like a debit card and can be used at any retailer who accepts EBT cash transactions. Parents or guardians of children in foster care will receive the school clothing allowance benefit as a check.

Those needing to update their address may do so at www.wvpath.wv.gov or by calling DoHS’s Customer Service Center at 1-877-716-1212.

UPDATE: We had an amazing response to this project and have already registered all 200 children. Thank you to everyone who responded.

Shoes will be available for pickup at our Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 22 starting at noon. We will have a waterslide inflatable and free haircuts as well!

Today, we had the honor of serving lunch to our amazing community partners at ABLE Families. 💜🐘

At WellSpring Pregnancy and Family Resource Center, we believe that strong communities are built through connection and partnership. Getting the opportunity to pour into the same people who work so faithfully to serve others every single day was such a blessing to us.

Not only was this a chance to share a meal, but it was also a meaningful time of conversation, laughter, encouragement, and connection. We are so thankful for the work ABLE Families does within our community and for the opportunity to continue building relationships that help strengthen and support the families we serve together.

It is truly a privilege to serve those who serve others so well. Thank you for welcoming us in and allowing us to spend time with your wonderful team today! ✨

We had THE BEST TIME at today’s Mental Health Awareness Lunch & Learn with Beth McKee, Life Seasons Support & Counseling Services.

We discussed “Finding Rest in the Restlessness of Life” and how to navigate, manage, and sort through our stresses.

Thank you to Williamson Parks and Recreation for letting us use the Community Center. And huge shout out to Mingo Family Support Center for sponsoring our event today! Starters Grill catered the event - and their spaghetti was soooo good!

Thanks to everyone who attended, participated, and spent their lunch with us!
