Today, we had to say goodbye to our beloved family pet, Mazie. She wasn't just a pet; she was a core part of our family, our daily routine, and our hearts for over 16 years.

As funeral directors, our work is centered around honor, memory, and holding space for loss. But sitting on the other side of that heartache reminds us of a fundamental truth: grief doesn't care about professional experience. When someone you love deeply is gone, the void is simply heavy.

Pets love us unconditionally, and losing them leaves a profound mark on our homes and lives. To anyone currently missing a beloved animal companion—we see you, we understand your pain, and we are holding you in our thoughts.

Sandra J. Stiger, 65, of Williamsport passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at WeCare. Sandra and her husband Steve J. Stiger were married on March 26, 1977 and celebrated 49 years together.

She was born August 27, 1960 in Williamsport and was the daughter of Kenneth R. and Margaret A. Lowe Brown.

Brian Mantie, 43 years old, of Lock Haven Pennsylvania, passed away on July 4, 2026.

Brian was born on May 30th, 1983 in Hartford Connecticut. Brian proudly served his country in the National Guard at Guantanamo Bay. Following his military service he completed college, and worked as a social worker helping people in need.

John W. Corson, Jr., 87, of Jersey Shore, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the Williamsport Home. His wife Gloria passed away April 30, 2025.

He was born on May 18, 1939 in Milton and was the son of John (Jack) and Mary Louise Kelley Corson.

In 1974 as a young 17 year old, Scott joined the Nippenose Valley Volunteer Fire Company and has been a Life Member for a number of years. Over the weekend, the Fire Company celebrated their 75th Anniversary where current and former members came together to reminisce about the past and look forward to the future. Scott was thrilled to be joined by a number of men whom he served with, including Steve Wirth, Rex Lowmiller, Joe Engel, Woody Hoover, Bernie Wrench, John Engel, and Jack Meixel. It was such a wonderful time together with old friends!
