Grief after the loss of a loved one doesn't always have a place to go.

For families who have lost someone to substance use, that grief can feel especially isolating.

GRASP (Grief Recovery After a Substance Passing), in affiliation with West Branch Drug & Alcohol, offers peer support, comfort, and connection to those grieving the loss of a loved one to substance use.

Through GRASP, people find:
โ€ข Conversations with others who have experienced a similar loss.
โ€ข A compassionate, understanding environment.
โ€ข The reminder that you don't have to carry your grief alone.

In this video, West Branch Drug & Alcohol Program Coordinator Dr. Dave Bower and Carolyn A Miele of Saving Lives For Zachary share how GRASP supports individuals and families as they navigate the difficult journey of grief and healing.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this support, or would like to learn more about upcoming GRASP meetings, please contact Dr. Dave Bower at [email protected].
