Nancy’s favorite way to spend the day is surrounded by friends and family—the people who never fail to make her smile. ❤️

When it comes to birthday treats, you can’t go wrong with two of Nancy’s favorites: spaghetti and vanilla cake! 🍝🍰

When asked what her birthday wish would be this year, Nancy shared something especially close to her heart: to have her husband here with her. ❤️ A beautiful reminder that the people we love are truly the greatest gifts in our lives.

❤️ Supporting One of Our Own ❤️

This morning, a member of our Fredonia Place family experienced a devastating house fire. We are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely; sadly, beloved pets were lost in the fire.
During such an unimaginable time, we would like to come together as a community and show our support. A GoFundMe has been created to help her and her family as they begin to navigate the days ahead and rebuild after this tremendous loss.

We have had the pleasure of knowing Anne here at Fredonia Place for three wonderful years! ❤️
Anne loves spending her days with a good book, and she has even put her love of reading and writing to work by contributing to our Fredonia Place Bookworm Newsletter! 📚✍️

A few fun facts about Anne: her favorite food is spaghetti 🍝, and one of the greatest life lessons she has learned is not to explain yourself and to always keep a sense of humor! 😊

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, Barb! 🎂🎉
Barb has made so many wonderful memories throughout the years! Growing up, she loved swimming at the lake in Dunkirk. These days, she enjoys a good game of Bingo here at Fredonia Place!
Barb met her late husband at a church dance, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with companionship and adventures in their motorhome. Florida was a favorite destination, where they enjoyed visiting family and friends. ❤️
Barb is especially proud of her career as an Executive Secretary with the United Steelworkers of America.
Her advice to her younger self — and perhaps a little wisdom for all of us — would be: Be true to everyone, be kind, and enjoy the company of those around you.

🎉 Happy 101st Birthday to our wonderful resident, Dewey! 🎉

Born and raised on a farm in Dunkirk, NY. Dewey enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years. Today, he loves spending time playing bingo and card games with friends at Fredonia Place.

A proud veteran, Dewey credits his military service with teaching him discipline, respect, and valuable life lessons. He cherishes the memories of raising a family, spending time outdoors, and making lasting memories at family gatherings.

When asked what advice he would give to his younger self, Dewey shared, "Stay out of trouble, be kind to others, and help anyone you can." His greatest accomplishment, he says, is his faith and encouraging those around him to pursue their dreams.

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, Kiki! 🎂🎉

Today we are celebrating a very special resident, Kiki!

In her younger years, Kiki loved playing basketball and riding her bike. She met the love of her life, John, through mutual friends. Although they weren't fond of each other at first, John won her heart by playing the trumpet and piano. Together they raised two wonderful children, and while Kiki once enjoyed taking them on walks, she now cherishes every conversation they share.

One of Kiki's proudest accomplishments was her career as a teacher at Pinkerton Academy in New Hampshire. The greatest lesson life has taught her is, "Don't believe words—look at a person's actions."
