One of the most common criticisms of the pro-life movement is: “What happens to the woman if she chooses not to have an abortion?”
At Daybreak Ministries, our answer is: We help her.
Women facing unexpected pregnancies may be dealing with very real challenges—housing insecurity, financial pressure, material needs, and uncertainty about the future. That’s why Daybreak provides practical, life-affirming assistance, including housing support, material resources, and other services for expectant mothers.
And that raises an important question.
If hardship is so often used to justify abortion, why isn’t relieving that hardship the solution we all rally around?
If she needs housing, help her find housing. If she needs material support, provide it. If she feels overwhelmed, walk alongside her.
A difficult circumstance doesn’t make an unborn child less valuable. It shows us where help is needed.
We believe women deserve better than being told abortion is the answer to hardship. They deserve real choices, real resources, and real people willing to stand beside them.
At Daybreak, being pro-life means supporting both mother and child.
Instead of asking, “How can she possibly have this baby?” let’s ask:
“What can we do to help her?”
