Sometimes when something doesn’t feel right—or doesn’t feel like a good use of your time—don’t be afraid to make a change. You never know what you might find. ❤️

I arrived at Omega Institute expecting a meditation weekend, but it turned into a beautiful weekend of singing.

When I was little, I would sing and sing. It didn’t matter what I was singing or who was listening. Somewhere along the way, I became critical of my voice and stopped.

With my friend Dena by my side, we took a chance and switched into a singing and coaching workshop. I never imagined I’d be standing up singing in front of people, reconnecting with a part of myself I had forgotten.

It reminded me of my son’s preschool teacher, Mrs. Nightingale, who always said, “All you need is a song in your heart.” 🎶

Spending time with Claude Stein, whose gift is helping people find more expression in their voices, reminded me that finding your voice is about so much more than singing. It’s about expression, connection, courage—and letting yourself be heard.

And one of the greatest gifts? Sharing the experience with Dena and making new friends along the way.

🌿 The Best Classroom Has No Walls

I had the pleasure of sharing holistic health approaches with the WNY R-AHEC Pathway students—but this time, our classroom looked a little different. 🌳

We gathered in the beauty of Letchworth State Park, exploring the Autism Nature Trail and experiencing firsthand how nature can support wellness, mindfulness, connection, and resilience.

There is something powerful about stepping outside the traditional classroom and learning through the senses, movement, reflection, and the natural world.

Nature isn’t just our backdrop—it can be part of our wellness practice. 💚

Grateful for the opportunity to share, learn, and connect with the next generation of healthcare professionals in one of the most beautiful classrooms in WNY.
