Touching Hearts at Home of Buffalo

Touching Hearts at Home of Buffalo Personalized Companion Care services in Western New York. We do this by providing non-medical companionship, transportation and homemaking services.

At Touching Hearts at Home our mission is to help seniors, people with disabilities, and those who are battling illness to preserve their quality of life and remain independent in their own homes. Through sharing, caring, and helping, we strive to give peace of mind to both our clients and their families. Our services are provided from 3 consecutive hours to 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, includ

ing weekends and holidays. Our Caregivers have diverse skills and interests, but they all have something in common: A passion for serving others. All Caregivers are bonded and insured, have passed background checks, and are professionally trained. These three words define our caregiving experience: Sharing, Caring and Helping. Sharing… your passion and commitment to provide companionship, friendship, and independence to the lives of our seniors. The desire to live independently remains an important factor for many seniors, and Touching Hearts at Home can help. We understand that it is not always possible for friends or family to care for loved ones, often resulting in their having to leave their homes. With services provided by Touching Hearts, people who need homecare assistance can stay in their own homes, taking the burden off of concerned family members and the seniors themselves. Caring… Touching Hearts at Home truly is about touching the hearts of our clients. We believe that helping people is a gift that we must respectfully receive and give back with great integrity. We are unwavering in our mission to benefit those who need our assistance. The senior population continues to grow throughout the world as people live longer, healthier, and more active lives. This tremendous growth will result in a need for more medical care and non-medical homecare. Touching Hearts at Home is dedicated to continue building a legacy of care, sharing our services with as many families as possible and helping families shoulder the responsibility of caring for a loved one. This is the heart and soul of our business. Helping… you help others. Each caregiver is a part of the growing achievements and recognition of Touching Hearts at Home, and we are proud of their accomplishments. Those who work with us as caregivers join us in being a part of what we feel is a very important position in a unique business. This industry is based on empathy, kindness and integrity, and is made up of people dedicated to sharing those values in bringing care to seniors. Your work as a caregiver will bring great satisfaction as you discover how much our clients and their families need and appreciate your efforts as you bring them support and peace of mind.

If your loved one with dementia becomes more confused or agitated in the late afternoon, you're not imagining it. It's called sundowning, and it's one of the most challenging parts of dementia care.

A few things that genuinely help:
Get morning light exposure early in the day, schedule harder tasks like bathing and appointments in the morning, keep late afternoons calm, quiet, and familiar, stick to a consistent evening routine, and avoid caffeine after noon.

Sundowning is manageable with the right consistency and support. You don't have to figure it out alone. πŸ’™

We have caregivers trained in dementia support. Reach out to your nearest location anytime.

The strongest caregivers aren't the ones who do it alone. They're the ones who build a team.

There's a story we tell ourselves: that doing it all means loving more. But asking for help is actually what happens when you care more about the outcome than getting through it alone.

Building a care team means your loved one gets better support. You last longer in the role. And you both get more quality moments together instead of just survival ones.

Asking for help isn't weakness. It's wisdom. And it's love in one of its most practical forms. πŸ’™

We're ready to be part of your care team. Reach out anytime.

Today is National Senior Citizens Day, and we want to take a moment to honor the people behind the care. πŸ’™

Every senior we serve has a story. A full life of love, hard work, and everything in between. And now they're in a chapter that asks something different of them, one that takes a quiet kind of courage that doesn't always get recognized.

To the seniors we serve: we see you. Not just your needs, but your history. Not just who you are today, but who you've always been.

Thank you for letting us into your homes and your lives. It's a privilege we don't take lightly.

Happy National Senior Citizens Day. 🌟

We're honored to care for your family's most important people. Reach out anytime.

Medication errors are one of the top reasons seniors end up back in the hospital after discharge.

Managing multiple medications sounds simple. But for an older adult juggling five, eight, or more prescriptions, each with their own timing and instructions, it becomes genuinely complex. Add in changes in memory or vision, and the room for error grows quickly.

Missed doses. Double doses. Wrong timing. Unknown interactions. These aren't signs of carelessness. They're signs that no one should be managing this alone.

A caregiver who shows up at medication time isn't just a convenience. They're preventing hospitalizations before they happen. πŸ’™

We help ensure medications are managed safely and consistently. Let's talk about what that support could look like.

For most older adults, independence means staying in their own space, in their own community, on their own terms. And with the right support in place, that's possible for far longer than most families realize.

Home care makes aging in place work, through personal care that preserves dignity, companionship that prevents isolation, medication management that catches problems early, and household support that keeps daily life running smoothly.

Aging at home is possible with the right support. Let's talk about what that looks like for your family.

Back-to-school season feels like a reset for most people. For family caregivers, the season turns without much changing.

The needs are the same. The schedule is just as full. There's no fresh start energy, just the continuation of what was already there.

If that's where you are right now, this is for you.

Sometimes the reset doesn't come in September. It comes when you finally build a support system that gives you room to breathe.

When you stop trying to do everything alone.
Whatever season you're in, we're here. πŸ’™
