We are growing! And need to hire someone who likes working with their hands, solving problems and building things.
We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded person to joint our team. NO previous healthcare or O&P experience is required - we will train the right person.
We build and customize braces and orthotic devices specifically for our patients. It is a unique combination of craftsmanship, problem solving, and helping people.
People come into this field from many different backgrounds. If you have experience in construction, manufacturing, automotive repair, woodworking, fabrication, maintenance, or other hands-on trade, your skills many transfer very well to this position.
If you enjoy figuring out how things work, using tools, working with different materials, and taking pride in something you've build, we'd like to hear from you.
Full Time Position: Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 4:30 Friday 8:00- 12:00
Minimum Qualifications: high school diploma with one to three years of experience in an industrial setting
Core Responsibilities:
- fabricate, maintain, and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices according to prescription specifications and under guidance of a CO, Orthotist
- Tests device for freedom of movement, alignment of parts, and stability
-Complete work orders as assigned
- Maintenance of all equipment and tools in the lab
- Maintain, clean and organize work area
Physical Requirements:
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, squat, bend, use hands and fingers. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
