🌪️ Chiropractic Care and Dizziness 🌪️

Dizziness can feel unsettling—like the room is spinning, your balance is off, or you’re just “not steady.” While dizziness can come from many different causes, one source that’s often overlooked is the neck.

When the joints and muscles of the neck aren’t moving properly, they can send confused signals to the brain about balance and body position. This is called cervicogenic dizziness. In other cases, posture, tension, or even inner ear problems can contribute.

In cases stemming from your inner ear we would focus more on a condition called BPPV — Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. BPPV happens when tiny calcium crystals in your inner ear shift out of place, sending mixed signals to your brain about balance. The result: dizziness, vertigo, nausea, feeling like the room is spinning or feeling unsteady.

How chiropractic care may help:
👉🏽 Gentle adjustments to improve neck mobility and alignment
👉🏽 Muscle and soft tissue work to reduce tension
👉🏽 Posture and balance exercises to retrain your body
👉🏽 Education on daily habits to support stability and prevent flare-ups
👉🏽 For BPPV, performing specific repositioning maneuvers (such as the Epley maneuver) to guide those crystals back where they belong.
