Did you know it’s typical for a person’s receptive language (what they can understand) to be greater than their expressive language (what they can communicate verbally or AAC/sign)?

It’s true! There’s also a rapid growth of receptive language right at the same time as kids show expressive language explosions!

It’s pretty similar to how much Spanish I know- I can understand a lot more than I can say. I also do better if I can read it - similar to how having visuals can support a child’s language growth!

I realized I never posted pictures of the inside of my little home office.

Well…here it is! I am LOVING it! It is just perfect for me and my tiny friends 😍 It still needs a few finishing touches, but is mostly completed.
