I have never met two women whose histamine intolerance looked exactly alike.

Symptoms, triggers, food tolerance, stress, sleep, and daily routines can all play a part—which is why generic plans often leave women trying to piece everything together on their own.

Living Well with Histamine Intolerance is private coaching built around what is happening in your body and your life.

We’ll begin in September, and women who enroll by August 1 will receive 25% off the three-month package, plus an additional month of support through December.

If you’re ready to learn more, comment **NEXT**, and I’ll personally respond.

If you take a DAO supplement, what exactly are you replacing?
Most supplements are fairly easy to understand. You take vitamin D because your level is low. You take iron because you need more iron. But DAO supplements are different. They aren’t replacing a nutrient missing from your diet.

DAO—diamine oxidase—is one of the enzymes your body uses to break down histamine, particularly the histamine you consume through food. A DAO supplement may provide temporary support with that process around meals.

And that may be helpful for some people. I just don’t want the tool to become the entire plan.

Taking DAO doesn’t necessarily explain why your body is having difficulty breaking down histamine. There may still be questions about belly health, medications, nutrient status, hormones, inflammation, or the overall amount of histamine your body is managing.

I first talked about DAO in Episode 7, The Real Reason Certain Foods Make You Miserable. If DAO has become part of your histamine conversation—or you missed the episode the first time—you can listen here:

Discover how the enzyme Diamine Oxidase (DAO) affects histamine intolerance and why it might be the missing piece in understanding your symptoms.• DAO is an extracellular digestive enzyme that breaks down histamine from food and drinks• DAO defici...

🌭 Summer cookouts usually come with three familiar bottles...

❤️ Ketchup
💛 Mustard
🤍 Mayonnaise

If you have histamine intolerance, you may have wondered whether those little extras matter.

The answer isn't always as simple as "yes" or "no."

In my newest Can I Eat? blog, I walk through some of the most common condiments, explain what I look for when reading ingredient labels, and share a few of the swaps I've made in my own kitchen.

My goal isn't to give you another food list—it's to help you feel more confident choosing foods that fit your body.

💬 I'd love to hear from you...which condiment would you miss the most if you had to give it up?

The three favorite condiments at almost any summer gathering are ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. They've been staples on kitchen tables, tucked into refrigerator doors alongside the salad dressings, and tossed into dri...

There comes a point when another low-histamine food list, supplement recommendation, or late-night Google search stops being helpful.

You may have collected plenty of information and still find yourself wondering what to eat for dinner—or why something that was fine last week caused symptoms today.

That doesn’t mean you haven’t tried hard enough. Histamine intolerance doesn’t show up the same way in every woman, which is why someone else’s perfect answer may not be the answer your body needs.

I’m opening five spots for the September session of Living Well with Histamine Intolerance. This is personalized coaching based on your symptoms, your priorities, and your life—not a prewritten course where every woman follows the same plan.

Women who enroll by August 1 will receive 25% off the full package, plus an additional month of support through December. My hope is that continuing through the holiday season will give you support when food, travel, stress, and interrupted routines tend to pile up.

If you’ve been trying to piece everything together alone, comment NEXT below, and I’ll personally send you a message so we can talk about what you need and whether the program is the right fit for you.

For a long time, I thought my symptoms were all separate problems.
Headaches.
Anxiety.
Digestive issues.
Skin reactions.
Fatigue.
It wasn't until I understood histamine that I began connecting the dots.
This week's episode is about what happens after the diagnosis...when the real learning begins.

What if AI could help make meal planning with histamine intolerance a little easier?

One of the biggest challenges with histamine intolerance isn't finding recipes—it's finding recipes that actually work for your unique food tolerances.

Lately, I've been using AI to adapt favorite recipes, create meal plans, build grocery lists, and even come up with ideas for holiday gatherings. The key isn't the AI tool itself...it's knowing how to ask the right questions.

In my newest Can I Eat? article, I'm sharing 5 AI prompts you can customize to create meals based on the foods you tolerate, plus a bonus prompt for a crowd-pleasing Fourth of July dish.

If you've been curious about using AI but didn't know where to start, I hope this helps!

💬 Have you tried using AI for recipes or meal planning? I'd love to hear about your experience in the comments!

If you stepped into my kitchen, there is no way you could avoid noticing the stacks of cookbooks on the shelves, kitchen table, and countertop. Every so often, I do a major purge and move the ones I haven't used in a whi...

Support doesn’t mean everyone eats like you. It means consideration, planning, and not doing it alone. If histamine symptoms have shrunk your social life, this one’s for you.

Hit play and reply: what’s hardest to ask for?

The hardest part of histamine intolerance is not always the food. It’s the moment someone invites you to dinner and your brain starts racing: Will there be anything I can eat? Will I react right away or pay for it tomorrow? Will I look “difficult”...

Histamine intolerance is so much more than just food.

✨Healing is never one-dimensional.✨

When we look at what’s really behind dis-ease, we find layers—physical, mental, relational, and subtle. This graphic maps out just some of the many root causes to consider in a truly integrative healing approach. From genes and gut health to belief systems and boundaries, each piece tells part of the story.
📖
Healing isn’t just about treating symptoms. Deeper than that, it’s about tuning in to the whole spectrum of what it means to be human.

Which area are you currently exploring on your healing path?

Exercise shouldn’t feel like a gamble. If walking, heat, or “pushing through” triggers flushing, dizziness, or crashes, this conversation will change how you think about movement and histamine intolerance. Listen now then tell me: what sets you off?

Movement can feel like a trap when you live with histamine intolerance: do too much and you risk flushing, itching, dizziness, headaches, GI symptoms, a racing heart, or a brutal two-day crash. Do too little and your body gets stiffer, sleep gets ...

You go to bed exhausted…

…but then suddenly you’re awake at 2 or 3am for no obvious reason.

Your mind starts going.
You feel hot, restless, itchy… or just “on.”

And the frustrating part?

It can feel completely random.

In this week’s Histamine Health Coach podcast episode, I’m talking about what may actually be happening in the body during those nighttime wake-ups — including histamine, stress hormones, blood sugar shifts, and why the body can sometimes feel more alert at night instead of settled.

Because sometimes the body isn’t failing to sleep…

it’s trying to regulate.

🎙 Episode 34:
“Histamine Intolerance And The Nighttime Alarm System”

If your body tends to feel more awake at night than during the day…comment or message me the word SLEEP and I’ll personally respond.

You crawl into bed exhausted, fall asleep, and then it happens again: you wake up in the middle of the night and your body feels wide awake. Maybe it’s the same window every night. Maybe your mind spins, you feel warm or restless, or you even noti...
