We’ve all been feeling it at the gas pump but do you know who is so close to that issue that feels the financial squeeze everyday?

The gas station clerks. They earn an average of $11.50 to $14.00 in Brunswick & New Hanover counties.

This evening we assembled bags of groceries - ingredients for a breakfast and for an Italian dinner and dropped them off to every gas station clerk in Leland. We were met with surprise and joy.

Thank you for giving to 86 Hunger Now so we can continue to bring joy to others through food.

Let’s talk about Community Pantry Sponsorship.

New Site Build Cost $600
- Dig, Set & Cement Post
- Build with treated lumber, hinged door with plexiglass, magnet closures, hook & eye closure, door k**b, roof shingles, welcome sign and paint.

Food Replenishment Cost: $5200 a year.

Fill with practical non-perishables twice a week at a cost of $50 each refill.

Alex just finished replacing the roof on the 8th & Orange Community Pantry. It was perfect timing as it’s raining ☔️ now.

You can have WalMart deliver groceries or any store Instacart right to our porch and we will distribute in the many pantries we service.

Does anyone know who was the organizer of this community box on 8th & Orange was?

The email is no longer valid. The box is is disrepair. We just wanted to be polite and contact the organization or person that established it before we tear it down and replace it. Thanks!
