Wes Jones, LCSW, has served in his solo private practice, Trolley Behavioral Health, for the past 8 plus years, and Amy Carello, LPCMH, NCC, M.Ed., has served in her solo private practice, Thrive Counseling LLC, for the past 7 plus years, both with many years of counseling experience prior to running their own
practices. During their time as solo practitioners, Amy and Wes would regularly consult each other for case guidance, support, and refer clients to each other when they were unable to accept new clients, being assured of the kind of care that people would receive from the other. Well before the pandemic occurred, they found it challenging to keep up with the requests for quality mental health counseling, as other trusted colleagues they referred to were also full, unable to accept new clients. Wes and Amy’s vision for quite some time was to join forces and hire trusted practitioners to work with them, creating a new group practice, so they could continue to refer to dedicated and passionate colleagues. In the summer of 2021, the demand for mental health counseling persisted, and they knew they had to make a move to offer the help needed, and have their vision come to fruition. Counseling Associates of Delaware was established and opened their doors on October 1, 2021, in Montchanin, DE.
