Dry Needling vs. Acupuncture... What’s the Difference?
We get this question all the time!
While both use very thin needles, dry needling and acupuncture are based on different philosophies and have different treatment goals.
At our office both Dr. Maggie and Dr. Brooke are both certified in dry needling. We use dry needling to target tight muscles, trigger points, and movement dysfunction to help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support your chiropractic treatment.
Acupuncture is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and focuses on restoring the body’s energy flow to address a wide range of health concerns.
Neither is “better” than the other, they’re simply different tools for different goals. If we believe acupuncture is the best option for your specific needs, we’re happy to refer you to one of our trusted acupuncture partners so you receive the care that’s right for you!
Have questions about whether dry needling is right for you? We’d love to help! Send us a message or schedule a free consultation to learn more!
