Our mission is to offer a threshold to recovery and break the cycle of addiction in service to our community. Success through Partnerships and Generous Donors

In addition to generous contributions, many ancillary services are necessary to provide our clients the best opportunity for long-term recovery. Our valuable partnerships with other social service agencies in the community help our program

be as successful as it is over the last forty years. These agencies include: Kirkwood Detox, Child Inc., Connections CSP, SOAR Inc., TASC, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Food Bank of Delaware, AIDS Delaware, the YMCA, Catholic Charities, Goodwill and West End Neighborhood House. The above list is not all encompassing and we are proud that Limen House is at the forefront of coordinating services within the community.

Young adulthood can carry more pressure than people realize.

New responsibilities. Less structure. Big decisions. Quiet struggles.

Support does not need to wait until everything falls apart. Sometimes the most helpful thing is noticing the shift early and staying close with care.

Today, we have the privilege of celebrating Ray Colletti and his 10 years of consecutive sobriety. Ray is a proud alumnus of Limen Recovery + Wellness and a thoughtful contributor to the online community—in fact, many years ago, he was one of the first creators of our social media presence.

His smile lights up a room, but what stands out even more is how quick he is to laugh and how easily he brings laughter to those around him.

He has certainly been a role model for those who have gone through our services after him, but more importantly, he embodies what recovery can look like: a life of gratitude, service, laughter, and love.

Respect is not extra.

It is part of care.

When people feel judged, they pull away. When they feel seen, they are more likely to stay connected to support.

Mental health and substance use often overlap.

Stress, grief, anxiety, depression, housing instability, and isolation can all shape how someone copes. Substance use can also deepen those struggles over time.

Sustainable recovery asks more than one question. It looks at the person’s life, relationships, routines, environment, and support system.

That is where real care begins.

Changes in sleep, appetite, mood, focus, or behavior may be easy to explain away.

A hard week. A stressful month. Too much going on.
Sometimes that is true. Sometimes the pattern is asking for attention.

Noticing early is not overreacting. It is care.

Mental health affects how we sleep, work, connect, cope, and move through the day.

It is not separate from recovery. It is part of the whole picture.
At Limen, support is not limited to one issue or one moment. People need time, structure, community, and care that sees the full person.

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, service, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

Many people are asking the same questions quietly.

Am I okay? Is this normal? Should I do something about this?

You are not alone in that.

When Tim arrived at Limen Recovery and Wellness, he was newly separated from the substances that had controlled his life and unsure of what came next.

After years of pain, isolation, and strained relationships, he found a safe place to begin again. With encouragement from staff, counselors, alumni, and fellow residents, Tim made the difficult choice to stay, listen, and accept help — even on the days he wanted to leave.

Today, his life looks very different.

“I’m able to rebuild relationships, be of service to others, live an honest life, and not take myself so seriously.”

We’re grateful to share Tim’s story and celebrate the courage it takes to keep choosing recovery.
