When you’ve spent years being the responsible one, the successful one, and the person everyone can count on, it makes sense that slowing down can feel a lot like falling behind.
Especially when achievement became tied to making your family proud, honoring their sacrifices, or proving that you were doing “enough.”
But you are more than what you accomplish and how useful you are to everyone else. You’re allowed to be ambitious AND build a life where your worth isn’t constantly up for review.
To my high-achieving eldest daughters: what’s one piece of advice you’d give another eldest daughter who never feels like she’s doing enough? 🤎
