I've been thinking a lot about transitions lately.
As a therapist, I often help people navigate life's biggest ones—becoming parents, grieving loved ones, healing from trauma, changing careers, or rediscovering who they are.
But this week, I found myself appreciating a different kind of transition.
The one that happens between the morning rush and my first client.
Those few quiet moments in the car. Taking a breath. Letting go of the to-do list. Becoming grounded before stepping into a space where someone else entrusts me with their story.
Being a mom and a therapist are two roles I love deeply. The transition between them isn't always seamless, but it reminds me how important it is to pause before stepping into what's next.
What everyday transition has been on your mind lately? I'd love to hear.
