Today in the Wonderful World of White Womens (moving forward to be referred to as the wwww). A woman’s husband demanded to accompany us to the OR and watch the procedure to make sure that we did not “sterilize her without his consent“ and a woman who’s recently gone through a divorce told us before her procedure she had to be able to be up and moving and heavy lifting by a specific date because now that our last child graduated from high school and she’s going to have an empty nest, she sold her house got a job in the same city. Her youngest child is going to college in and has moved there. So that they can be together..

Yes, 37 weeks falls under term. And some babies will naturally come at that time.

But that doesn't mean YOUR baby is ready.
While we don't know the *exact* trigger for all labor, we do know that when baby's lungs are mature, they release proteins that trigger inflammation that eventually causes labor to begin.

We expect healthy babies to trigger labor around 37-42 weeks.

If you're pregnant, you can do ALL tips and tricks to "trigger" labor but it's really up to baby. Being 37 weeks does not mean baby is ready.
