So many parents today are carrying two truths at the same time:

Deep love and gratitude for the parents who raised them…
And a desire to parent differently in certain ways.

Growth does not require shame.

Many of us are learning emotional regulation, emotional literacy, co-regulation, boundaries, repair, and connection-based parenting skills that simply were not modeled for previous generations.

That does not make our parents “bad.”
It makes us more aware.

And awareness creates the possibility for change.

This is how generational healing happens.
One relationship.
One repair.
One emotionally safe moment at a time.

Children remember how it felt to be with us.

Trying to break old patterns and parent with more connection, emotional safety, and awareness?

Join our free 3-Day Reparent Yourself Summit to learn emotional regulation tools, healing practices, and connection-based parenting support for both you and your family:

Preventing tick bites is the best way to protect against Lyme disease. Use EPA-registered insect repellents when you're outside and reapply according to the label. A layered approach including long-sleeved clothing and tick checks can also help.

Protecting a newborn means being mindful, respectful, and putting the baby’s health first. Visitors should make sure they are up to date on vaccines like TDAP, flu, and COVID before meeting a newborn, practice good hygiene like hand washing, and postpone the visit if they feel sick. Taking precautions before meeting new babies helps keep their first days safe, calm, and healthy.

Around 44% of children and 77% of teens don’t get enough sleep for their age. Getting enough sleep helps kids and teens focus, do better in school and manage their behavior and emotions. Here’s what parents can do to support healthy sleep:

1. Create a comfortable, quiet sleep spot that’s dark, cool and screen-free.

2. Create a sleep routine and stick to it. Going to bed and waking up at the same time everyday helps regulate the body’s internal clock.

3. Avoid caffeine, spicy foods and screens for a few hours before bed.
