Today is World Autism Awareness Day!

Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, we recognize the importance of understanding, inclusion, and support for individuals and families affected by autism. 💙
At the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, one way we help support that mission is through our Project Lifesaver Program—a free service for Brunswick County residents caring for loved ones with autism, Alzheimer’s disease, or other conditions that may cause wandering. Through specialized radio-transmitter bracelets and trained response teams, Project Lifesaver helps us locate vulnerable individuals quickly and safely when every minute matters.
This program offers peace of mind to caregivers and an added layer of protection for families throughout our community. If you would like more information or believe a loved one may qualify, contact our I.M.P.A.C.T. Unit at 910-253-2777.
Together, we continue working to keep every member of our community safe, supported, and valued. 💙🧩
