Limited spots are available. For more information about applying for or referring a patient to our TF-IOP, email [email protected]. Applications close September 1, 2026.

✨NEW IOP GROUP ALERT✨

Recovery isn’t just about eating differently, it’s about reclaiming the parts of life that eating disorders have taken away.

That’s why we’re so excited to introduce EXCEL (Experiential eXposure Challenges for Eating Disorder Liberation), a new experiential group within our Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program.

Using evidence-based exposure therapy, EXCEL helps clients gradually face the situations they’ve been avoiding - from trying on clothes to looking in the mirror to navigating social situations - with support from our treatment team every step of the way.

Recovery isn’t about becoming fearless. It’s about learning that you can live the life you want, even when anxiety shows up.

Interested in learning more about our Eating Disorder IOP? We’d love to connect 💚

As BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, we hope this series served as a reminder that mental health cannot be separated from the contexts in which people live.

Every person’s story is shaped by their identities, relationships, culture, community, and experiences. By listening, learning, and working to reduce barriers to care, we can all play a role in creating a more equitable mental health system.

Awareness may have a designated month, but compassion, advocacy, and culturally responsive care are year-round commitments.

Introducing our new Office Manager, Megan Vaughn, and new Business Operations Specialist, Macon Richardson!

Chrysalis Center has a new Office Manager - but don’t worry, it’s the same friendly face you know and love - Megan Vaughn! Megan has been the heart of Chrysalis Center’s administrative team since summer of ‘22, and we are delighted to announce that she has been promoted from Administrative Team Lead to Office Manager! Megan is a steadfast advocate for all of our clients and works hard to ensure that each patient is met with kindness, compassion, and top-notch customer service. We can’t wait to watch Megan accomplish great things throughout her tenure as Office Manager!

Additionally, we are excited to announce that Macon Richardson, Chrysalis Center’s former Office Manager, will now be known as our Business Operations Specialist. After four years of client-facing work at Chrysalis Center, Macon is now working behind the scenes to ensure that Chrysalis Center’s business operations run smoothly and efficiently. We are confident that Macon’s attention to detail, creativity, and consistency will continue to bring great value to our organization.

Next time you’re in the office, please say hello and congratulate Megan & Macon! 🎉

With the current outbreak of Cyclospora making headlines, many people have started paying closer attention to food safety. While this is understandable given the circumstances, people living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) may find themselves at a higher risk for an increase in anxiety and compulsions.

The good news is that you don’t have to choose between prioritizing your physical or mental health. Chrysalis Center recommends staying thoughtfully informed by monitoring trusted health news sources, learning to tolerate feelings of uncertainty, and practicing simple food safety guidelines when consuming produce.

OCD is highly treatable, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. To schedule a visit with one of Chrysalis Center’s OCD-specialized therapists, contact our office today at (910)-790-9500 or by emailing [email protected].

Weight stigma isn’t a health intervention - it’s a harm. Comments about food, bodies, or “trying harder” don’t motivate change. They fuel shame, disordered eating, and avoidance of the very care people need.

Health can’t be determined by looking at someone, and everyone deserves treatment rooted in compassion, not judgment 🦋
